The new rock/pop album is totally what I am looking forward to!
If it's as good as Chaos then I'll be most happy with it. MAF was kind of a let down after the brilliant CACITB.
A letdown? For me, MAF it was more like an uplift. C&C is too melancholy for me.
Maybe that's where its brilliance lies? In the melancholy part? Most tunes on MAF sound pedestrian to me, run of the mill McCartney. Many of them sound like something Nigel Godrich would have rejected for Chaos with a "You can do better than that, mate". Driving Rain and MAF could have been great, but were just very good. Of course, needless to say, that's just my opinion and... Opinions are like a**holes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

I'm hoping it's as good as Flaming Pie oh yeah
Oh yeah indeed!
Oh, don't get me wrong: I don't begrudge C&C its recognition as an album of brilliant songs. Just a bit too much on the somber side.

And yet again, I agree with you! I like Paul's albums to contain a mix of both his love songs, somber songs, and lighter fare, and C%C, while solid, isn't even close to a mix of all of those. Flaming Pie is by far my favorite because it mixes them all so well, but recently, MAF is the best mix in my opinion.

I remember when "Somedays" used to make me misty. That's NOTHING compared to what "The End Of The End" does to me. Heavy, heavy song. Rumor has it that....Paul's coming back to Nashville! (OK, this is 100% without merit, but it's on-topic).

I think he should've just made it one album. A lot of the songs from MAF, were leftovers from C&C and even Driving Rain...maybe something like this... Chaos in My Mind 1.Fine Line 2.Ever Present Past 3.Only Mama Knows 4.Friends To Go 5.Mr. Bellamy 6.You Tell Me 7.Jenny Wren 8.This Never Happened Before 9.Promise To You Girl 10.Dance Tonight 11.Vintage Clothes 12.That Was Me 13.Feet in The Clouds 14.The End of The End Singles would've been... Fine Line/ A Certain Softness Ever Present Past/ See Your Sunshine Dance Tonight/ English Tea ...the rest could be saved for the next piece of work, that SHOULD have been sooner than later! :
This is pretty darn good. But I would have to have "House Of Wax." Also, how's this for a title? Chaotic Memory of Driving.
And I'd drop "End of the End" and "This Never Happened Before" to add in "Too Much Rain" and heck, I'll give Audi "House of Wax" even though it's not one of my favorites. I'm in a generous mood.
We can work it out.

GREAT song! It still gets me. You know what's, the rumor IIII heard was that he was making his first concert trip to Vermont soon...

I love Somedays. One of my favorites ever. I think Paul performed enough times in the US. Time to give other countries a chance.

If we're talking about recent history, he's practically a citizen of SA with the number of shows he's done there. Oh, and it's nice to see that you and I can agree on something! ("Somedays I look...")

regarding your 2012 list. (same for 2010) WHERE do you put Mexico? Do you know that Mexico is NORTH AMERICA? Not Central or South America, right?

I'm sorry, if I was geographically inept According to this list, I first counted it as Central America...and I counted it as South America in 2012...sorry about that. The purpose of my post, was that he hasn't properly played anywhere in the US yet this year, and it is rather annoying to hear the flocks of fans that have seen him this year complaining. Now I understand there are other countries/continents, like the Australians and those in Denmark, that have had cancelled dates, and others haven't had oppourtunities like the US has. But still, we all want Paul...and there's no reason he can t do a little US stint as he has the past three years, we pay well. Oobu- Sorry to offend! The mid-west had more dates last year than the North East did...we just had two nights in NYC, you guys basically had the rest of the tour...of the 4 Paul concerts I've been to, I've flown to one, taken a train to another, and drove to the other two. Three of those four concerts required a hotel room. SO, it isn't like we're strolling downtown to see Paul every summer or something...

Come on Mike, you don't expect an American to know any geography beyond US borders, right?

I'll take that as a compliement so thank you, my friend. Beers are on me on your next visit to Buenos Aires. EDIT: Paul didn't perform in Argentina either this year or last year and I'm not b****ing about it.

Tut tut Wix!! Living up to the American stereotype haha!

You couldn't pay me to spend an hour in Buenos Aires with you.

There are no legitimate rumors for Paul McCartney concerts at this moment. I'll be leaving this thread, waiting for the right moment to arise, and I suggest we all do the same to avoid anymore unwanted negativity.
