bottom line is that paul mccartney owes south america nothing...to him its just another continent or country. mccartney is a brit from irish heritage...he lived and brought alot of his kids up in scotland and his ex and current wives are american. apart from the countries mentioned, nowhere else has any significance. infact south america should think themselves lucky that hes been there at all...as was said earlier,im not sure even the beatles could be arsed and they went everywhere
He only stopped off at South America for a final big pay day - he's said a while back he wanted to tour places he's never been, that's SA out of his system now, tis a shame they never seen him in his prime.
you don't think this sounds like a man in his prime? The Night Before- 4/21/12-Brazil
Damn! That was great!

Soooo.... ....rumours?
The only Rumours I know is a Fleetwood Mac album!
Rumour has it, they are working on a world tour for next year! Without Christine McVie of course...don't know if I'd go see it though, you?
I saw Fleetwood Mac in 1977 at the Pit in Albuquerque for the RUMORS tour. They were great!!
I would not spend my money now to see them, but I did see them in 1976 (with The Eagles as their opening act!) here in Atlanta.
Wow! Now that's quite a show! You've got some great gigs under your arm there Nancy

You're probably the best locator of current McCartney footage at this forum. Your own vids are fun to watch.

Thank you, I'm glad you like them. I wish I could locate footage of Paul and Bon Jovi singing "Twist And Shout".
So THAT'S what they performed. I'd been wondering.

When Ringo came to Mexico years ago, he said that he decided to come because Paul doesn't stop talking about Mexico. So he wanted to know why he was so amazed with us. But, yeah, Mexico is not in South America, is in North America.

I'll hold my hands up that was quite good next question - anyone know how to stop all the pesky adds on youtube?

Not to prolong being off-topic, but... ...Have you installed any new add-ons to your browser lately? You may need to get rid of it/them.

I think you can hear the audience more than Paul.

Not after seeing the Stevie Nicks concert. :

if fleetwood mac reformed and played a one off gig in my garden..im not sure i could be arsed to open the curtains.

I saw both the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac in their prime. Not sure I would go see them now. Maybe the Eagles, since I love their music. But neither band has what McCartney has, which is brilliant live performance capability. The man can entertain. Those other bands merely re-create their recorded songs live.

I guess Mike, Paul's brother, did some research and they come from Scottish stock originally, not Irish. Just an interesting little tidbit.

I'd love to see The Eagles live...but they charge so much. :

Yeah--I saw Roger McGuinn solo several years ago and he was in great voice, although again it's been a good many years. Are the Eagles actually touring.
