Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
It sounds all but done out here that the announcement tomorrow is indeed McCartney. I would suspect this could possibly be a cross Canada tour, if not at least Western Canada. Also just throwing stuff out there if it is indeed November 25th at BC Place, November 26th at Rogers Arena(Literally across the street) is Bruce Springsteen, could we possibly have an onstage reunion?
-
Well, it's official. I'm F REAKING OUT.
-
Can anyone get me a free VISA to Canada?
-
Will this be a new tour or a continuation of the old one? will he premier new songs from the new album? What's the status of the new album? finished yet? Who wants to roll to Vancouver with me?

Songkick are already advertising the show... http://www.songkick.com/artists/300543-paul-mccartney
Always exciting times when substantial rumours abound. Not commenting on the Paul concert rumour itself, but the role of Songkick... Songkick is itself a rumour tracker and the listing was created after the rumour surfaced because of it. I'm sure they are sincere in their efforts to keep fans in the loop but have no prior knowledge of events prior to official statements. Let's see what this reported press conference brings.... Martin

Sadly that fact would usually be seen a reason to doubt the rumour. Major artists don't usually go head to head in the same town on near identical dates. Yes at festivals, but for major stand-alone concerts they tend to seek clear air to ensure maximum local press, TV and radio publicity. Also local logistics, organised by local councils, police - parking, signage etc would be strained by two major events so close by location and date. The local economy would also be strained if two such events took place each targetting near identical audiences. Many fans would be able to afford only one such event.... I've been proved wrong before though Martin

And Brian has put it on his FB page he's put his South American project on hold until next year for a "sudden schedule change."

It's cool if it's true, but it would mean he'll probably do more dates in the US over what would normally be annual UK Christmas dates. If so, that'd make me sad.
I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to drive 20 hours, go to the show, drive 20 hours back, and make it to work the next day...eight days a week sounds nice right about now.
I'll keep you company in the car. We'll play 20 hours of Macca music on the way there as his warm up act.
Sounds like a plan.
If you want to pick me up we can split the driving three ways.

Looks like the UK xmastime dates wont happen this year oh well.

That's a hasty conclusion. Still, I'm really curious about the reaction when he brings the same show to London for the 4th year in a row.

Hoping the rumours for BC and Edmonton come true.

In fairness i've thought this all year to be honest,it may still happen of course but with the big events in London this year i just don't see it happening and that may be a good thing in the longer term.. But Paul is Paul once who've seen him hehe.
