Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
Giles Martin just tweeted this photo:
This could just be wishful thinking but it looks very much like Paul's setup. There's the piano on the far side of the stage, the drums and keyboards in their usual spots and three microphones with the same number of feedback moniters and teleprompters infront of them. The stage setup is identical to how Paul has it. In fact I've just noticed the yellowish Devided By 13 amps that Rusty uses too! Maybe this has something to do with the olympics OR maybe Paul and the band are testing out some MINTY FRESH new stuff for a MINTY FRESH new tour! Or maybe it's got nothing to do with Paul at all...
Thoughts?!

Isn't that Paul in the blue shirt?

It's def Paul's setup, I reckon something for the Olympics. Remember Giles Martin said he was working on an exciting Beatles project? Related?

THAT, my friend, would be EPIC!

I'm not expecting Minty Fresh yet. I think this Olympic event will be the official Swan Song for the same ol' same ol'.
-
In fact on the far side of the picture I THINK that is Abe and Wix....

Yeah. But maybe while he has the band together he can work on some new stuff for future shows...It's be daft not to take the opportunity to work on new stuff!

I agree, although he'll probably do Hey Jude and there is no way it will be the Swan Song for Hey Jude!

I'm near certain it is, an right where Brian would stand, in front of his amps, appears to be Brian...

I tweeted him asking what he's working on, I doubt he'll reply!

That's a pretty big staging area to work out new songs in. We have all seen Paul's rehearsal space in London. My guess is it is for the Olympics. Which begs the question. Does the band need to rehearse HEY JUDE for two weeks? I think not. Probably more to do with staging and how it will fit in with the rest of the opening ceremonies.

That was from the Secret website show! The 'punk' Hey Jude was done at a soundcheck. It's only 1 verse but it's still really fun! It's just before Matchbox (I think) on the DVD. I'll try and find it on youtube!
