Just to confirm, it is not cute!

Marriage proposals on stage are not cute.
I think if I were the one being proposed to I would say NO just for the shock value.

I would pay $1500 for a front row seat to see that!
-
I don't mind the folks up on stage to get signed, but the marriage proposals need to go. Just seems so fake to me.

Righto. Just making notes here... So folks on stage to get signed is OK. Onstage marriage proposals are out. --- Complaints/remarks/observations about the setlist is OK. Complaints/remarks/observations about McCartney's voice are not OK. :
-
Ditto paulfan11! You can also describe it as cheesy. I would never have proposed to my wife Cindy in front of thousands of people. That is a private matter in my opinion.

Yup. It's narcissism at every level. Voyeuristic at every level as well.

I had to un-like Macca's official Facebook today. These stupid, phony proposals are tired. I mean, aren't proposals supposed to be a surprise to the lady? What if they don't make it onstage? Is the relationship doomed? Will the guy chicken out? Or will he propose privately -- which is the appropriate thing to do. We're going from "Rockshow" to "Osmond Family Christmas."

...and time wasting and cringeworthy at every level. Could it be he does this nonsense so's he can take a breather?

There are people in that audience who -- literally -- paid thousands of dollars for tickets. I'm sure watching a couple they don't know getting engaged is not on their setlist wish-list.

I still think that the proposals are just being used as an excuse to meet Paul and have nothing really to do with the actual proposal. People see that other couples have been successful in making it onstage with that idea, so they figure why not give it a try.

Agree and it is a total waste of time. Total waste of time. Don't pay money to see that stuff.
-
hate to say it but these marriage proposals remind me of the folks trying to chosen from the audience to compete for prizes on the old Bob Barker show, 'The Price Is Right'.
-
Paul is a priest? I don't get this marriage proposals on concerts. I understand they love his music, but.. everyone in stadium are there because of loving his creations. I am going on concert with my girlfriend and if someone is seeing me with her know immediately that I love her or something. Not have to say it by full stadium of people. Paul is a quiet man and don't say to media about his privacy and right now maybe we know why this tour is called ONE ON ONE - ONE fan ON ONE concert on stage

For front row you'd have to pay $2100 and be on either side which SUCKS!

EXACTLY RIGHT! They just want to meet Paul!
