Petition for Silly Love Songs LIVE!

Well, Betty White only hosted SNL because of the Facebook campaign--perhaps that could be a route you go?

I will NEVER let it die!! I'm thinking of alternate ways to get the message across...any ideas? Perhaps someone in London could throw a beachball with a message attached over Paul's fence. Kinda like they do in Big Brother. Or we could all chip in to get a plane with a banner to fly over his house...they've done that on big brother before too!
Better yet, we all parachute off of that plane and fly into his yard singing Silly Love Songs ...
-
Or, you could threaten to send these girls to Paul's home and tell him they will keep singing the song every hour on the hour until he agrees to sing it himself in concert:

Lmao I saw that one too!! I LOVE the parachute idea...that would so work!
-
We could also mow "Silly Love Songs, dammit!" into his front lawn.

You guys could be onto something here...although to be honest it would be easier to intercept the mailman!! Apparently they're very good friends, infact I've heard it was the mailman who suggested he should marry Nancy.

I thought it was the Milkman.

You're right! He's very good friends with the Milkman AND the Mailman! I hear he gets on pretty well with the neighbours too.

He does seem to like Peace in the Neighborhood...(drum roll for the bad joke)

No worse than mine! I'm gonna leave you with this, because it's weeeeeeelll past my bedtime!
-
Here's a potential can of worms (please don't hate me...please don't hate me...please don't hate me...), but can Paul still hit some of the notes in "Silly Love Songs"?
-
Get outta here!!! I actually think it's one he could sing well these days, he uses a singing style similar to that in Letting Go on WOA which he sang brilliantly during the Up and Coming Tour.

Watching that Silly Love Songs video was simultaneously exhilarating and sad. Exhilarating because it's such a kick to see both Paul and the audience having such a blast with a brand new song. And sad because we don't get to see that very much anymore. I do wonder, though, if he could bear to do this song without Linda.

"Letting Go" was amazing on the last tour, and I'm sorry it's been shelved so quickly. There are, though, some rather high parts in "Silly Love Songs" that might not sound so good anymore...however, I'd love to hear him give it a whirl, and I think the band could carry him vocally if he gets in trouble, especially Abe.

Come on Macca!!!! Even Glee have done it!

lol, Chris. I posted a video of Jason Mraz covering "Silly Love Songs" in a different thread, and I commented how surprised I was to see that, in the audience shots, just about the entire crowd was singing along to every word. These were younger people, mind you, in their 20's, and they knew all the words. That threw me for a loop. I never thought of it as a really big song for Paul, although I know it was pretty well known when it came out. However, you typically hear songs like "Jet" or "BOTR" on the radio, not "Silly Love Songs". I'm be game for hearing it live, so let's do this! Where's my lawnmower? I'm getting ready to mow the petition into his lawn!

Yea I replied saying I've been telling you how well it would go down for all this time!! We can do this...listen Macca, LISTEN DAMMIT!!!!
