To tide us all over...And we surely can't let this be the last known performance of "Silly Love Songs":
(1984) I like the mid-break key change and, of course, the bass solo. The b-boy dancer was an odd addition. -
Woo I didn't have to bump the thread I know I keep saying it but it will not die!
-
I heard Silly Love Songs on the radio coming home from work today! (and they played Band On the Run on the way to work this morning!)

I take those as signs of a good day.

Let's all make signs saying, "Silly Love Songs, Dammit!" and hold them up at every show. We'll put those "na na" signs for "Hey Jude" to shame.
If I ever get to another gig I'm gonna rush the stage during Here Today screaming "Play Silly Love Songs, Dammit!!" whilst making the Wings sign with my hands so as not to appear too threatening...

You might also try approaching slowly--a running man with his hands up, screaming at Paul might be viewed as a security threat. At the least, I see you getting maced.

Hmm, that could indeed be a problem. Just think of the access the people at the 100 Club and Capitol Records had to him, I'd have been screaming "Silly Love Songs" at every opportunity! At the same time, I'm hardcore...what's the worst they could do and maybe just maybe he'd play Silly Love Songs after it? Perhaps Yesterday would be a better time to do it, then I wouldn't miss too much if they threw me out.

I'm gonna email Stuart Bell one more time, then I'll threaten to "take it to the papers" since that usually seems to get things done on TV.

Good call on "Yesterday". The audience sings along to it so loudly they wouldn't even notice that Paul had stopped and was pointing to security to take out the loud, screaming man making weird gang signs with his hands.

Has Stuart sent you a reply yet? If he doesn't, let me know. He and I are old friends. We met for 5 minutes at the NYC premiere for Paul's ballet. We got WAY back. All the way to September.
No! He's ignored me twice now...I reckon he thinks I'm a nut job to be honest! I'm gonna go with the "imagine the headlines" route next... "Paul McCartney refuses to play Wings smash hit Silly Love Songs for loyal fans" That's front page of The Sun material right there.

If you throw in a call girl, you've got a week's worth. P.S. Why are your posts responding to my posts, showing up before the posts you're responding to? I dare you to figure out my question, by the way.

Either there is some paranormal activity going on here...or the board is broken. Take your pick. What question? The one about the posts or have I missed another question somewhere?

walliebaby:
So, again, I'm going to throw in the call girls angle. You'll get a week's worth of headlines from that, no questions asked. Perhaps how Sir Paul refuses to play Silly Love Songs because of a group of call girls. They can make up their own story from there. They will anyway.
Ooh you DO fight dirty!! Remind me never to get on your bad side
