Barcelona/Europe Tour dates Corona Virus

"British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced “difficult and highly disruptive measures’’ across the United Kingdom, forcing all citizens aged over 70 [..] to self-isolate for 12 weeks to protect them from the impact of coronavirus."
He's now not even allowed to tour, haha.

Good grief, I'm getting so fed up with this paranoia. I know you have to take precautions, but the whole fucking world can't shut down over this bullshit. We have to go on with our lives. Just do all that you can to encourage sick people to stay home. The rest of us can't afford to hide away for God knows how long. There are places to go and things to do!
If you l ived in Britain you are the exact selfish btch that would kill my mum. Sounds strong but seriously if you were in front of me right now I would give you a slap, and im not a violent person, ban me if you want I don't care. I've spent the evening in tears worrying about my 77 year old mum with COPD (Google it) having to stay indoors for at least 3 months yes months ALONE in her house, and me and my son will have to stay in for 3 months in our flat due to my immune system, otherwise we would die yes die if we went out due to people like you who think hey it's ok I'll pass it around cos it won't kill me and everyone else. Go back to la la land. I'll go back to crying that I may never never see my mum again.

At this point I wish Paul and his people would just make the inevitable announcement so we could all end the waiting and make whatever cancellation arrangements are needed. Airfare, trains, hotels...Not to mention the tickets! I also happen to be high risk immunocompromised so will not be travelling now anyway but have been holding off officially making cancellations until an announcement is made.
Keep the faith, fellow boardies, this will pass eventually. Prayers all!

Given that The Rolling Stones officially postponed their tour and are issuing refunds, I expect Paul's people will announce same soon. Everyone be safe and practice safety measures. There will be other Macca concerts to enjoy.
-
Hope that most of the dates will be postponed to the autumn. October-november will be a great choice.
Just don't cancel the tour, please ...
-
Just been announced that Glastonbury is cancelled, so I would assume that the preceding European shows leading up to it will follow suit.

As argued earlier by me, this is fine for a tour or festival in California (Coachella) or Australia (Splendour), but impossible in the European climate.
Maybe this is a double win situation for them: rescheduling the stadium gigs to smaller arenas: "tickets in all sections still available".
-
It's possible that Paul's team was waiting for Glasto to make their decision on the other gigs, and now that's happened, it's all dominoes so they can cancel/postpone the rest of the tour. I'm sorry for everyone that has tickets and is looking forward to seeing Paul this year. It's such a wonderful thing to look forward to. I wasn't going to any of the Euro shows but was hoping for some US shows later, but who knows how this year is going to play out now. My US state has closed all bars and restaurants for dine-in eating as well as all of the schools. We are all trying to stay home. Maybe Paul can do a livestream concert that we can all watch together!

What is the status regarding cancelling European shows this summer? At what time will the deciscion be taken?
Glastonbury OFF. Eurovision OFF. Why is it taking so long to cancel these shows. Fans need to know where they stand so come on Macca sort it out. We need to arrange refunds for tickets, accommodation etc.

I don't understand why Paul has not yet canceled the tour and Ticketmaster is still selling concert tickets.!!!!!

Because it will be postponed. Simple as that.

Porque será pospuesto. Simple como eso.
Do you know for sure that it will be postponed? Did you speak directly to the MPL offices?
-
Just no way it can go ahead now. I have cancelled my accomodation for Paris and took a loss on the flights. No way I would go now even if it were to go ahead just madness! Needs to cancel ASAP so I can get a refund via ticketmaster.

The show in Nijmegen is now officially forbidden due to restrictions. All events and gatherings until 1 June are banned in The Netherlands.
-
Paul's management team are certainly taking their time in officially cancelling/postponing the Tour, although wasn't originally going myself has to be the right thing to do

Insurance reasons. Needs to be prohibited on paper first.

I believe they should wait until the end of April at the latest to cancel everything. The decree* banning events in Italy is until April 3rd and is very close to ending. I don't know how long they will extend again or not.

*https://www.ticketone.it/campaign/annulli-posticipi/I hear what your saying but they are also on the verge of postponing the Olympic Games which doesnt begin until July. It would end the uncertainty. I have an indoor concert booked for the middle of June in UK which i would put at 50/50 to be changed.
