Paul's management team are certainly taking their time in officially cancelling/postponing the Tour, although wasn't originally going myself has to be the right thing to do

I believe they should wait until the end of April at the latest to cancel everything. The decree* banning events in Italy is until April 3rd and is very close to ending. I don't know how long they will extend again or not.

I hear what your saying but they are also on the verge of postponing the Olympic Games which doesnt begin until July. It  would end the uncertainty. I have an indoor concert booked for the middle of June in UK which i would put at 50/50 to be changed.

The UK is in denial and 2-3 weeks behind. Expect no event to be on until August at the very earliest.

Marshall Arts/MPL is just waiting for the official announcements by the governments, so all parties are fully covered. And they might look into postponing as opposed to cancellation. They could put the 60,000 capacity open-air gig for The Netherlands in an arena in Autumn, with tickets still available.

Well, I've booked flight, hotels and got tickets for Lille, Paris and Bordeaux.

I'll lose an insane amount of money, but of course there are a lot of more important things happening right now.

I hope they move the entire tour to 2021, by then the world would have the vaccine (or at least it's what's been said) and i'll be safe for everyone, Paul, the crew, the audience.

I'm just waiting for the new dates to get announced. It's bound to happen sooner or later. Luckily EasyJet have removed their fee for changing the flight dates & it's what all airlines should do  this & the hotel doesn't need to get paid for until check in. I think October/November would be decent. But if he ends up clashing with another concert, he's obviously getting top priority over anyone else 😉

Hope you guys have been safe & can't wait to see some of you guys in Paris once this has blowed over 😊😊

No one knows what is going to happen with this Corona Virus and I don't see anything wrong with waiting until the end of April to take stock of things.

Many countries are working day and night to come up with some type of therapy or way of handling things to cause an early end. Right now, if we all self quarantined, as we are being asked to do, it has already shown to be making a dent in the virus. Get inside everybody, and Skype or Facetime. It will be over faster if you do!!! Please do it.  This is supposed to be a 3 week virus.

Its like those wild fires.  The firemen will cut a wide firebreak, so that when the wild fire reaches the firebreak, it can't jump over it, so it burns out. Well staying inside and self isolating is like the firebreak. If we all stay away from other people 6 feet, and we stay in our homes, the Corona Virus cannot jump over to other people. It will stop. You have to all go in and self isolate for a month, just to be sure. Everyone, please do your part to help stop the virus! We need everone! We all care deeply for each other so lets protect each other and JUST DO IT NOW!      👫👭👪👬👫 Do it for those you love❤ Do it for your Mom & Dad 💑 Do it for your friends!!                                           ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I admire the sympathy. But the symptons might go on for just 3 weeks, the virus is not waded out worldwide in just 3 weeks. Incbuation time is 2 weeks, people are infectious without them even having symptons yet. Also there will be a second and probably even a third wave the coming year.

There will not be any risks taken with events. By governments on health level, but also financially by organisations. Besides, it's practically impossible to hold big events this Summer, with travel restrictions in different territory possibly still going on. It's not without reason many big tours and events are being postponed with a full year, not just a few months.

Hate to say it but this might be the end of McCartney's touring career. No way will they reschedule tour this year. In addition, McCartney is in the age group where this is more likely to be deadly if you catch the virus. If I were him, it is time to shut it down and concentrate on writing new music, recording, painting etc.

Couldn't they set up airflow in a contained way? We're not doctors or experts. No one knows what is going to happen yet. South Korea pretty much did heavy testing and negative air testing booths and pretty much went through it in a month. The US is not following expert advice so things will be really long and drawn out here.

Hopefully, European leaders seem to be listening to their experts so Europe may have a chance. China is pretty much on the other side now. They're good.

I've pretty much accepted Nijmegen isn't going to happen now, and my flight from Dublin to Amsterdam will be cancelled anyway (at least that means I'll get a full refund). So disappointing, but definitely necessary. It just isn't safe anywhere right now.

Still, I can't see the tour being cancelled altogether. Most artists are postponing their shows rather than cancelling them. I'm sure Paul will want to reschedule, so maybe they might happen next summer when Glastonbury does go ahead? If it's the case that they're postponed, I'm definitely holding onto my ticket and will be ready to see him whenever it happens. I can easily rebook flights/accommodation when the time comes.

I just got an E-Mail from the ticketing service, saying that the Nijmegen gig will be postponed. The rescheduled date isn’t set yet, but already bought tickets will be validated and you’re unable to get a refund. I just think it’s weird that we haven’t heard anything official from Paul yet.

No, I got it from Eventim (It’s a German Site but definitely legit). It said: „The promoter informed us that the event will be postponed to an unknown date. Already bought tickets remain valid. A replacement date is currently being searched for, this proccess may  take some time.“ They’ll probably push the tour back a whole year to 2021, since the venues are all outdoors. I‘m just glad they’re not canceling it completely.

I'm so glad, that the tour will be postponed. That's much better, then cancelled. Hope, we'll know the new dates very soon, it will be much easier to reschedule our plans for the next summer 🙂

I understand that when a concert is cancelled the ticket vendor is forced by law to refund everyone, but if a concert is postponed what happens to costumers who cannot travel on the rescheduled date? Is the ticket vendor forced to refund those people or is it up to them to sell their tickets?

I would assume you would have no issue getting refund especially due to the current circumstances.

If a show is postponed Ticketmaster has always given you the option of holding on to the ticket for the rescheduled show or a refund if you are unable to attend. However, the option to obtain a refund is not available until a new date is scheduled. As for the European shows not sold through Ticketmaster I am sure they will offer a similar resolution once these concerts are officailly canceled or postponed.

I don't speak Italian, but it seems that TicketOne is claiming that, according to a new law, they are allowed to offer a voucher (instead of a refund) for cancelled events:

                                        https://www.ticketone.it/campaign/covid-19/

"Il nuovo Decreto-legge prevede il rimborso tramite voucher dei biglietti degli eventi annullati da utilizzare per l’acquisto di biglietti inerenti ad altri eventi futuri programmati dall’organizzatore".

It also seems that they don't want to refund tickets to events that have been postponed (instead of cancelled):

"Per gli eventi che sono stati rinviati, di norma, non sono previsti rimborsi".
