Covid-19 Coronavirus

I havent hugged my grandmother in about a year, and/because I still come face to face with dipsh*ts who refuse to wear a mask.
I cant even begin to tell you how sick I am of sefish f*cks who stand (not even defiant, but more ignorant) with their sh.tty faces exposed, just begging me to pound it.
This whole mess has proven my philosophy... "most people are idiots"

A few sad stories that are related to Covid, but not Covid.
One person needed medical attention to get to the root of the problem. Going in for testing was put off because of the Covid priority. Sadly the person passed just recently. Very young. Probably why testing was put off - young and able to fight it and delay things until this Covid thing starts getting more controlled if at all possible. That didn't happen. The second person also put off getting checked. That person knew their condition, but also was waiting for what they thought would be a safer office visit. It was too long to wait and put things off. These are not Covid, but Covid changed their possible path. Strongly to blame, not fully, but covid was involved without them catching it.
I am sad to have heard this news and really feel bad for the families of both.

I couldnt even begin to explain how stupid people are, in general.
I see it everyday, as I stop at a green light, as my passengers question... until they see the dipsh.t cruising past, against his "red"with no clue he has nearly killed us (had WE/I not looked out)Its no longer a political thing...
Its simply a "dont be that asshole who doesnt give a sh.t" thing.Trickle down...
We look out for each other, we keep Covid down
Keep Covid down, and others who need help, can get help. -

It was great to see the news stories coming out of the UK today showing folks getting their Covid-19 shots. However, it also made me mad that meanwhile here in the States we are still twiddling our thumbs and not approving the vaccines to start here like they were supposed to around this same time. And all the while thousands more people are going to die in the coming weeks because our country is just refusing to take this virus seriously.
I heard the approval (EUA) will be any day now from the FDA. However, Trump effed the U.S. by only buying 100 million doses (enough for 50 million people to get the required 2 doses) from Pfizer! He passed on buying more later. So the U.K. and some EU countries snapped them up. Hopefully we can get more soon from Moderna and the other company because Pfizer said they couldn't sell us more until June!
I don't know how old you are, but if you're over 65, you'll be in the 2nd group to get them. Front-line workers, first responders and the like will get 1st.
Paulfan11 although England has started giving vaccines a week before us, it's only our regulations and paperwork required that are causing the 1 week delay. We needed an emergency approval to start early, also it was wrong for The Don to threaten the head of the FDA to approve it early or be fired. That behavior makes people lose trust in taking the vaccine. Dr. Fauci has said it is safe and is going to take a vaccine on TV. I believe Dr. Fauci.
Nancy it is horrible that The Don didn't order enough vaccines. He keeps making terrible medical blunders based on his unbelievable lack of basic medical knowledge...he didn't order the WHO tests for us at $1 a test and then the CDC had problems with their test kits, he can't understand the medical briefs and so he thought we could get doctors to swish bleach through our lungs (you would die) or stick an UV Ultra Violet light under the skin or in the body (It would burn you). Now he ordered only 100 million vaccines (for 50 million people) when our country has 330 million people (although we are not giving the vaccine to children or pregnant women). The worst is his not backing up mask wearing and encouraging parties without masks. The last I read, over 75% of the people who died, didn't need to die, if we had only followed the recommendations and medical protocols. American deaths are the worst by far due to decisions made at the top. Let us pray that the Biden Covid advisory board will be allowed to start early and stop the greatest killing of Americans in such a short time. Write your senators, that's where your stimulus relief and help for all of us, is being tied up. God Bless us all.

(and you cant do much about THAT)Well said Jonathan! It just frustrates me that there are so many people here in the states that are refusing to be safe because they just simply don't care about others and keep doing what they want to do. (I'm not talking about folks that have to go to work, please note!) I wanted so badly to head back to MI for Christmas to be with my dad who is having his first solo Christmas this year due to my mom's passing. But because all of these folks and our own president simply don't care, I am unable to travel to see him. I know I'm not the only one in this situation as well, but it just makes me so angry!

It is extremely difficult for so many people. If we could just hang in there for a couple of more months.
I saw the first batch of vaccines land in Kentucky today at noon. We will be asked to wear masks for 100 days that will help greatly. We need a true leader, not one that is not a Doctor and is promoting unsafe medical practices that are killing people or getting them sick. Unfortunately, this can only be halted by vaccines now, because we didn't slow it down with testing, tracing, a large focused Science medical team, to use the best practices that would have lowered numbers by 75%.

A friend and former coworker was just diagnosed with COVID. Happily he's in his twenties, otherwise healthy, and symptoms are fairly mild so far. Keeping fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, there are news reports today that White House staff will be among the first in the U.S. to get vaccinated. Of course. Greedy and selfish to the very end.

Sorry to hear about your moms passing...and I pause, and send best wishes to your dad, and your family.

Ok, so here it comes...
What I WANT to know is the details!!!!
I have read/heard about all of these people (to the point celebrities are posting their "I'm getting thru it, live" videos.
But nobody is flat out saying where/how they got it!
They announce, and then it just kind of fades out... like they are champions who got it and then clam up (nothing to see here) when it comes to any details. -
These dupes all seem to want to forget that part...
ME? My friends who have tested positive, can tell you EXACTLY where they caught it, (gatherings, unmasked) and are happy to tell the symtoms
(loss of taste and smell, forget about the breathing aspect)Why has the WHEN/HOW become insignificant??

Figures we can't even get the vaccination roll out right. Hospitals and other places sitting on doses instead of giving them to the front line workers that desparately need them, and another million or so doses just sitting around and not being shipped out. But of course many politicians who have spent the past 9 months downplaying the pandemic and saying it would just go away are all happily being given their vaccinations!

^ Well those hospitals better get their sh!t together.
I have a friend who's boyfriend was in a VA hospital & had to be tested before he underwent surgery for breast cancer & he tested positive & they sent him home. He has been no where else. He caught it in the hospital.

So what happens if he manages to recover from Covid? He has to wait for a negative test in order to have surgery I guess!
P.S. The technical term is that he got a nosocomial infection (hospital acquired) ️

His surgery is scheduled for Jan 13. So they will have to test him again 2 days before that. He has no symptoms at all. He got the 1st half of the vaccine while he was in the hospital.

That's odd, since they know he's positive, they still gave him the vaccine. (?)

I see! So probably he was already infected, but since he was asymptomatic, that's why they gave it. I wonder if the vaccine will help people who are already infected not develop bad symptoms.
