      Hello guys!

I'm by no means new to this forum (glances at date of registration ... :D), but I was gone a loooong time. But throughout the years I've always stayed a Beatels fan - of course.

I realize the title of the thread could get some precious fans all worked up - fear not! The purpose of this thread (series) is not to annoy you and I'm not (of coure not!) trying to imply The Beatle's music is bad.

With this we all can find out what the community's FAVOURITE song of each Beatles album is ... but in a reverse way by 'eliminating' the least favourite songs first ... and logically, the song that will be left in the end is the favourite song of you and me of that particular album.

How will this work? In the first round of each album we will determine the least favourite song (how long should the polls be run? Three days? A week seems too long.) I will then open a new thread with round 2 in which the 'eliminated' song of round 1 won't be listed. And that goes on until we have only two songs left - that will be the FINALE!

Sound good? I'd be happy to see some participation and of course discussion here! Why is the particular song your least favourite, or the other way around, why do you like the other songs better than this one? I guess that's gonna be interesting 🙂 And maybe it's a good opportunity to listen to the one or other album again ...

Cheers and I'm looking forward to this.

Interesting poll !  There's always at least one track on each album that doesn't grab you as much, or that you suspect might be 'filler'. For me, Misery is that track on the first album. Although it's OK, and it was as far as I know the first Beatle song to be 'covered' (by the late Kenny Lynch), it's not a brilliant performance (at one point someone nearly loses track of the lyric, and the piano sounds like it was dubbed on as an afterthought).

It was a choice between Boys & Twist and Shout but in the end I went with Boys.

              Hey all!

First off: I'm kinda frustrated that I can't edit my own posts to eliminate any typos I have made (I do them ....) And I really miss a function in this forum to preview my message before posting.

Okay, now to the poll. Quite interesting what I see here. I'm gonna start with saying, that I voted for 'There's a Place'. I'm generally not a fan of the harps played on this album. It just sort of ... piercing to my ears. That's one of the reasons 'Misery' was on my list to vote for first too. I'll probably will vote for that the next round if it should remain. So @dirkmcquickly, I'm with you there.

@Yankeefan2 Grandmother music - Lol. I think I get what you mean. But I always loved Paul's angelic voice too much to hate the song. 😄

@Kestrel That breaks my heart! Lol. 'Boys' and 'Twist And Shout' are two of my favourite songs on the album.

I'm surprised and at the same time NOT surprised that Love Me Do got some votes ... it's not a song I particularly like. But I hold dear memories to that, since it was one of the songs that played when I met my now husband at a party.

I love this album as it brings back so many wonderful memories.  It was really difficult to choose one.

FYI - Sadly on this board, you have only 30 minutes to edit your post after you posted it. It drives me crazy also and I posted item about this feature to the mods.

But thanks for your advice anyway. I bought the album over 15 years ago and I don't regret it at all.
