He gets pretty creative there with his picking on Blackbird!
Yes, I noticed that too!
He did that in Houston; some thought Paul had lost his way a bit. Turns out, he meant to do that. I like it.
He did this at the billionaire's birthday party as well, and there were some comments from us (me included!) about how he messed it up. Guess he's either doing it on purpose, or very consistent with his screw-ups.
Oops! You're right: It was the billionaire gig.

Here's another video of Paul doing Mull of Kintyre at Vancouver BC Place on Sunday night! The video only starts when the Pipe Band is already on the stage, but it's filmed from a different angle, and we can see the pipers and drummers on the left side of the stage in this video (which we couldn't see in the previous video to which I posted a link earlier).

It was such an amazing concert. Paul is a consummate performer! I was too busy uploading videos last night from the Concert to go on the forum, but better late than never. I've uploaded 18 videos/20 songs to Youtube. They were shot with my iphone but it's an iphone 5 so they're all in HD. If you can watch Youtube on your big screen TV they look pretty good considering.... (sorry for a few moments with a shaky hand during Mull of Kintyre.) All the videos are on the "Whistlerskiboy" channel. Here are some links:

This is what I love about being Canadian. We're so polite

Thanks for all the videos, very good sound and resolution. The sound is so clear that I can note that Paul is singing at least one octave lower than usual, because I noticed that I can sing with him without trying, my record is mezzo soprano voice, and whenever I try to sing in tone than it did before, I can not follow. I guess it was convinced, and the truth is that it sounds much better

Had my first live Mac a experience last night, and it was amazing. I've had the luck and pleasure to see some amazing shows in my 36 years, but that topped them all.
I so agree. I have hoped for years he would come to Vancouver and he finally did. An amazing show and I hope he comes back again. Anyone know when the t-shirts for Vancouver might be available on his website as I could not get one at the show. Thanks

As far as coming back again, he did make a point of saying "I'll tell you what, we'll see you next time" at the end of the show. It may have been just me, but it sounded like he was being genuine in indicating that he would be back. I got the impression that he was quite moved by the positive reaction - the cheering went on long after songs were finished, so he sort of had to wait sheepishly before starting up his banter or next song. More/longer cheering than I have experienced at the two shows I've been to before. That and the fact that he has relatives in Vancouver gives me hope for a future visit!

He says that at the end of every live show he does.

Ya, I know. Like I said, I've been to a couple of shows before. I just got a feeling that it was a little more genuine this time. Others who have been to multiple shows may feel differently. It could be a case of everyone wants their show to be special and to know that they'll see him again, but I actually live in Seattle, and it would be much more convenient for me if he came down here instead. I just felt a connection there that I haven't felt in past shows. It was quite moving. But like you say, he always says he'll be back, and we'll never really know until he does/doesn't come back next time!

New jokes? Do tell!
Well new to me: He was in Russia & shocked by the appearance of the Russian men. He said he thought the military man he was greeted by in the Red Square look about 20 & it surprised him. The same thing happened to me when I went there. The men in the military have the face of a 14 year old yet their carrying around machine guns, & serious as hell. It's hard not to giggle cause they look so very young. Road Trip tourist talk: On the subject of Paul in Russia (which we're not I just heard that Putin plans to open up all those state rooms on the Red Square. He's collecting original furnishings now, opens in a couple years(?). Also heard Virgin Airline is offering standing room (yes) tickets on flights London to Paris. One of Paul's friends, Richard Branson own Virgin Air.

Haha! Here's the first time I've heard it live in person, Antwerp, March 2012:

Sorry I had no way to post updates during the show, in fact I can now barely type. Got sick after the show, lost my voice, and then had a nasty run in with a sharp pot bottom doing the dishes. An ER visit and three stitches to a right finger later, in Edmonton for the 29th date. Dazed and very excited!

I don't know what the "protocol" or whatever for this type of thing is around here, but if anyone has any idea where I could find an audio recording of this show it would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking all over and can't seem to find one. Seems strange considering the size of the crowd that no one taped it. It was one of the best nights of my life and I would love to have an audio souvenir of it.
