The Beatles may have started a trend for putting gobbledygook in lyrics - Lionel Richie admitted that a line in the middle of his song "All night long" was pure gibberish.

*Big Boys Bickering* and that song is blatant! No secrecy there! 😂

The gibberish in "I Am The Walrus," for example, strikes me as a bit ominous and frightening, in a way along with that relentless musical part which sounds like scary military marching during wartime.  It galvinizes the listener, though; one can't be indifferent and not pay attention. Its mystery is intriguing.  Is this the song where they sound like they're saying "f------d up f-------up everybody's f-----d up" at the end-- I always found that quite interesting and intriguing. Eyebrow-raising. I've read before though that they're not really saying that. (?) It always sounded like it to me, though.

They are saying "Everybody's got one" and "Oompah, oompah, stick it up your jumper" (a jumper is a sweater in the U.K.)

Although it does sound like "Everybody smokes pot", they really are singing
"Oompah, oompah, stick it up your jumper", and "Got one, got one,
everybody's got one"! (This from page 127 of The Beatles Recording Sessions

Chicka ferdy (in Sun King) means f*#k off.

That's not what John claimed.  Though John was not always entirely honest in interviews, and he and Paul disagreed on a few things over the years.
