is this a general admission gig? Cuz that seems pretty pointless to me, unless they are waiting by the stage door to see Paul...even then, I don't know that I'd camp out to do that...

There are no seats on the field. Those who get inside first will be standing closer to the stage.

Okay, then yes- this is 100% acceptable.

Unfortunately it's the only way, unless you've got a Hot Sound package. Then you just need to be there at 12:30 PM and you will enter the stage before everyone else. Too bad it costs $1,500!

At least U.S. audiences don't sleep on the street for days before the concert. If I went to a McCartney concert there I would arrive early in the morning and probably be one of the first to get inside, right?

No. The true fans camp out for Paul for days in the US when he plays general admission gigs. Thing is, he doesn't do those a lot.

I have just watched the news on TV about people from all over the country who have been sleeping for days outside the stadium here in Recife. There was even someone from my hometown.

During Paul's "secret gig tour" for Memory Almost Full in 2007, we were prepared to sleep on the streets of New York City in order to secure tickets. NYC police thought it would be "safer" to issue numbered bracelets for those on line, and have us return in the morning. Considering the area in lower Manhattan where the venue was located, it may have been a wise choice!

I like to secretly think it was Paul who sent him out there, since he saw us all camped out the night before when he went in for rehearsal.

I'd camp out for general admission, it can be the deal of a lifetime!

The stadium is located in an area that apparently is not very nice, and since it will be difficult to find a cab on the way back, me and my 3 friends have hired a taxi to take us there at 9 AM and to take us back to the hotel at around 1:30 AM. For the second concert I have hired a taxi to take me to the stadium, and I believe two other friends will go as well. I recommend anyone who is going to these concerts to do the same.
