Also regarding the merch, some merch booths were smaller and had very few selections (the ones near the soundcheckers), and others were much larger and had double or more the selection of designs, as well as the posters (but you didn't know that unless you walked all around). I went from booth to booth, only to never find the shirts we wanted. Oh well.

I only saw the "Last Pick at the Stick" shirts/hoodies at only one booth, and it was outside of Candlestick at Gate A. And the worst thing was that booth's card machine wasn't working, so, they only accepted cash. I didn't necessarily want to plunk down all of my cash on a shirt, so I thought that there would other merch booths with the shirts. Nope.

Does anyone have any photos of the commemorative merch? This appears to be a poster...
Those were small handouts that were being given out at the entrances before the show. Not posters. Maybe the size of a large bookmark. On the back it says "I was there" And all the tv news stories that i saw this morning about the concert were filled with stories about the people who were unable to get in to the show because of the traffic nightmare. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be. Reading the stories posted here makes me very sad, I am so sorry you both missed the concert.

We were given them as we walked into the park, but it seemed to be random how they were given out as the huge crowds were pouring in. My friend and I were commenting on them while looking at them and a few women came up and asked where we got them, and they ran back to the man handing them out.

I attended soundcheck and they did not give those to us as we entered. But afterwards while we were at our veggie buffet, I saw somebody with one, that person told me they were being handed out at a gate near our buffet area, so my friends and I went over there and asked for one each.

Same, except by the time we went there, they were all out. A guy on ebay is selling 6 for $80 each...

I'm glad for those who enjoyed such a special show, and I'm sorry for hose who missed it due to heavy traffic. Hopefully you will be able to see him during the next leg of the US tour.

So sorry to hear about the people who didn't make the show due to traffic and parking. Just heartbreaking, I can't imagine the frustration and disbelief you must have been feeling. Glad to hear that the city and venue are somewhat being held to account for this, but I really hope people can get refunded too. Not a cheap ticket! Thanks, Bruce, for the perspective on the venue(s). This all reminds me of my experience at Franklin Field in Philly, where I saw U2 in the '90s. Absolutely wretched place to see a show; I was sure it was going to collapse as we sat there, and the concourse was ridiculously narrow for that many people. We missed the first few songs, which is the only time that's happened to me. But again, my heart goes out to those stranded outside Candlestick the other night.

At Paul's shows here in Brazil the local governments usually shut down some streets/avenues around the stadium for a few hours before/after the concerts and make special arrangements with public transport companies to take the fans to those events and back, in order to avoid people using their cars and creating traffic jams. Is it like that in the US and other countries?

Did they pass out the guitar pics? And like ANY concert...the vendors run out of items. My friend was searching all the booths for a specific T in a certain size at a diff concert. She never found it.

So sorry for those fans who were stuck in traffic and couldn't attend the show. I can imagine how distraught you would be. It's very hard to believe how an event such as this could occur.
-
I am shocked and saddened by so many not even being able to get to the event even though they had tickets due to the poor parking situation. As much as I vent about Paul on these forums, this is clearly not his fault. It is the fault of the venue and the city of San Francisco. It is THEIR responsibility to ensure there is adequate parking for such an event. Certainly refunds need to be given. Or tickets exchanged for the San Diego show or other shows. Ridiculous!

Well, that would not be as thrilling to watch. I honestly feel badly for those folks, I could not imagine. I would have abandoned my car on the side of the road, and walked to the venue.

Of course not thrilling to watch, I feel bad for them too. Just saying that if they showed the traffic...the ENTIRE picture would be portrayed.

Oh, I agree! I suspect whoever set this camera up was completely unaware about the parking catastrophe. I wonder what percentage of attendees did not make it in? Maybe local news caught footage and did a story. Or maybe Ron Howards people did.
