I just saw that....but it's been overcast here all week since Sunday and it's really only rained twice and they were just half hour storms...quite violent, but short nonetheless!
Sun will be nice but regardless, we will be rocking our lives away!!! I CAN NOT WAIT!
weather.com shows rain in DC starting tonight around 7 and going until tomorrow morning, with a shower in the late afternoon. I'm not too worried! It wouldn't be a macca show day with a thunderstorm!
True! There was even a thunderstorm before be took the stage in Detroit a few years back.

Where is the pre-show party? it is open to everyone? or you guys are talking about one of the VIP/hot sound backstage things.. Do we know if metro is running late tomorrow? Experience tells me not to drive, I know metro will be bad, but never worse than traffic, on a Friday afternoon in DC.

Nevermind saw the info posted by Tiggy, thanks!, I will definetly try to make it If you see a couple wearing really cool "All you need is love" T-shirts that is very likely to be us! Say hi !

Oh NOOOOOOOOO Now we're up to a 40% chance of rain! :

I'm trying to stay positive. It's said 80% all day today and I've been at the National mall all afternoon. So far no rain.

It has rained at some point on the day of (or sometimes ALL day) at EVERY Paul show I've been to, and then cleared if it's an outdoor concert...very strange...I'll be keepin' the faith
-
I can't believe that we are only a day away!!! I am so pumped for this show!!

Tomorrow night will be a night to remember!

Altogether now! Good day sunshine...good day sunshine...No worries about tomorrow! I think it's going to be cooler and partly cloudy, great concert weather! Put those positive (and dry) thoughts out into the universe tonight! The show's TOMORROW!!! Can you believe it? It's really almost here! This time tomorrow night we'll be in a frenzy waiting for Paul to sing to us!!!

Sooo...how do you all think this tailgate party works with the soundcheck? It seems like they will both be happening around the same time. Will this be an ideal place to go to hear soundcheck, or will whatever music they're playing drown out Paul? And if it does drown him out, I wonder if there's a better place to hang out to hear soundcheck from outside the venue?

What time is soundcheck scheduled to start? and like OohYou any tips on where outside we may be able to hear it from?

Think we're going to have to find out where the best place to hear the sound check is once we get there. Usually it doesn't start till around 5 or after. Nobody has really posted that they're familiar with the stadium or surroundings. Hopefully we'll figure it out TOMORROW!!! Wooo hooo!!!

I am not at all familiar with the ballpark and I live in Arlington! I got so confused trying to find the metro station after the FedEx show in 2009 so this time I am bring a map with me. More than likely I will have to exit from a different gate than the one I go in. For those taking the metro, I have written down to take the HALF STREET & M STREET Exit. Metro' directions say to: - walk one block south on Half St. - turn right on N St. - walk one block west on N St. -turn left on S. Capitol St. -walk 2 blocks on S. Capitol St. I hope a lot of other fans will be taking metro.

The Navy Yard station lets you off a lot closer to the ballpark than that.

I'd imagine Paul's soundcheck would drown out whatever band is playing tomorrow...we all know how LOUD the soundcheck has to be, so how is Paul's sound system in Nationals Park gonna compare with whatever little PA is set up in the parking lot. I don't Nationals Park thought that part through...

Thanks for the welcome from several people - including george_e_girl, who was in Ames, IA in 1990! I was living in Minneapolis at the time. And for those who haven't looked on the Fenway Park discussion board, walliebaby has some great photos posted from the Fenway Park show from a couple of days ago. (I had to follow that thread too, given that I'm a Red Sox fan who grew up in the Boston area.) Enjoy the show everyone!

It's going to be pretty sad when the whole party runs to another area to hear the sound check and the band [in the parking lot] played on. LOL Don't know how I am ever going to get to sleep tonight...
-
I've made the mistake of watching Rockshow and can't sleep...think I'll be popping in my bootleg of Yankee Stadium!
-
Have fun...I am sure you will..enjoy yourself.

thank you very much!
