Hey Mods...

Exactly! That's why I wrote "There isn't." ️
They should do what other sites do and use the registered email address as the reset log in rather than the password. At least people can usually remember their email address.

I emailed the mods again & told them that no one can create a new account.
Maybe that's always been the case? How often do board members here try and create a new account?
Several have, without a problem, when they forgot their password.
P.S. And If Yankeefan's wife wanted to have her own account, she should be able to.
When Liz tells me they've enabled new sign-ups, I'll try to create a new account from my home if my other technical problems are still happening.Exactly !! My user name was "yankeefan7" for years and then had password issue and had to create new account and it is "yankeefan2". Thanks also for adding that if my wife for example wanted to have her own account she should be able to do it. BTW - when my family first got on FB, there were 4 different accounts coming from the same household.

Well I see a new thread about Mike McCartney's new book that I'm unable to access. If there's a link, maybe oobu could post it here. Yankeefan is taking a break from this place. Thanks!

I'll pm it to you.

Crazy out of whack things to try for a temporary solution:
(I will use the PaulMcCartney dot com subject threads)
click on PauMcCartney dot com threads, pick something like testing on Firefox ...if you are using a touch screen (if you are using a mouse then right or left click over the subject) Hold your finger on Testing on Firefox until you get options to open, open in a new tab etc...try those one at a time. Next, use the back arrow then the forward arrow and see if you can read anything new.
option 2: go back to PaulMcCartney dot com... enter the thread... normal click on something like test on Firefox, back arrow, then forward arrow and see if you can access.option 3: reboot your internet (not your computer) if it is possible. Unplug for about 30 seconds to 1 minute... power it back on and give it some time to come back to normal. Try everything about logging in again.
these are not solutions, but are an attempt to see if a page refreshes and lets you see the new threads. -

these are not solutions, but are an attempt to see if a page refreshes and lets you see the new threads. When I open up a new tab, it just gives me that same Temporarily Unavailable page with no ability to use back or forward arrow.
I can try rebooting the internet tomorrow. The modem is downstairs and it's 12:13am here and I don't want to wake up my mom. Her room is right by the squeaky steps!
I really don't think anything is going to help unless I can create a new account.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Guess what? When I am NOT logged in to the site, I can access new threads! I just can't post in them when I am logged in! So at least I will be able to see new stuff. Still can't create a new account. That would seem to be the only solution to the problem.
Oh, but when I'm logged off I can't see any of the new threads I created in the Maccaboard.paulmccartney.com forum -they are gone. But when I log in they reappear (but of course I can't access them!)
However, I was able to see and access the thread I created about Paul's letter to Prince (when I was logged off)
This site is insane!!!

^ That is totally weird. And it is also strange that it is only happening to you. Something must have happened to you (your computer) or to your account. Yes, I think a new account is the only easy option. IF they can fix that! Jeeez.

This would be funny if it wasn't real and you were making it up.
(when you are logged in)...
Have you tried going into an old thread that you can post in, click it and enter, then hit the back key and see if the new threads show up? -

Will try later, but what does it really matter? I really only want to be able to access new threads that others or myself create that pertain to Paul and/or The Beatles.
What is really frustrating is that NO ONE can create a new account! If they would just re-enable that feature I could solve this mess! (hopefully)

I meant for you to try the above when you are logged in.
also:
once you are logged in check your "preferences" in the menu with settings and account. Mostly for all formats to be checked as On. Look at all in case anything got changed.
I tried setting up a new account from another location - and all I could get was the access denied - after multiple attempts. (So I cannot help you there). -
I think you may be able to set up a new account now. There are a couple of new spam threads already.

(So I cannot help you there). You didn't understand - when I am logged in, like now, I can see all the new threads including any of mine, I just can't access them! I get the Temporarily Unavailable page. But, when I am logged out I can view any new threads EXCEPT the ones I posted recently in the maccaboard.paulmccartney.com forum - they disappear and I only see them there when I'm logged in!
I checked Preferences and everything is fine there.
The people at MPL have to allow the creation of new accounts or I will be stuck like this, unable to access new threads. I can create a new thread, but then can't access it later to view responses!

They disabled it again!

If you see this Nancy, now would be the time to try your original log in and see if everything works. If it does not, it could be the time to see if you can create a new name. The access denied was not on the page this morning.

I emailed your podt to Nancy. I hope she gets it & tries it.

I tried both of my emails and even though I only have an account under @bellsouth.net and they said both were already registered, so I tried another I knew wasn’t registered but it still said it was and said CAPTCHA session reuse attack detected AND The answer you entered for the CAPTCHA was not correct! (they asked like 3 different things which I know I did correctly!)
Liz, please help! I don't know what else to do!

***I hope I am not a pain in the a$$ if I keep typing about this.
Did you get a Welcome response on your email(s)?
Welcome from the Maccaboard? These would have been sent to your email.

I told you, it wouldn't let me create a new account, even with an email that is NOT registered on here. I'm trying to get my daughter to use her email at her house and create another account that I can use. She is always so busy between work and taking care of her toddler. I have another friend I may ask who is not on here, but is a Macca fan.
Just now, I tried to log in and at first it wouldn't let me - said CAPTCHA session reuse attack detected AND The answer you entered for the CAPTCHA was not correct! I tried again and thankfully it let me in.
This site is beyond ridiculous now, all because of those spammers who kept getting on here and they had to add all this extra security. I don't know why I am the only one with the new post/new PM problems though.
