They have released more rooms go on line and check it out I just got my second day there finally. Are you OK Linda?? I did not mean to make light of walking or working up to it.
I am totally out of shape and will still be walking. I need to lose some weight and this is my incentive to start. ops: I'm two days in to the walking.
Good for you! It's amazing what Paul can inspire us to do, isn't it? A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Paul has me inspired. I know I won't be a svelte model by November 11, but I will be on my way to a much healthier lifestyle. Something else for which I have Paul to thank. Please don't make fun of me when you meet me. I'm working on it for the first time in years. Last time I got overweight, I lost it by having emergency surgery for something totally unrelated to the weight. I don't need to do that again.
No laughing on my end, promise! I'm working on getting back in shape, myself, and am far from svelte, so no worries.

Thank you. To think I was once an anorexic child who people begged to eat. 64 pounds in high school.

Just curious is anyone has recieved their Crowdsurge tix yet? Got my ticketmaster tix a while ago ( bought a pair from each). So are the Sheraton and Hyatt the absolute closest hotels? Haven't booked yet, not adverse to walking (running the Chicago Marathon next weekend - my first!) but my kid will be with me and she's whiney.
-
The Hyatt is around .7 of a mile away, The Sheraton is only about .1.

Crowdsurge typically mails tickets about two weeks prior to a concert. That's been my experience, anyway. Hope that helps! P.S. Good on you for running the marathon!

Not sure about the Sheraton and Hyatt. But I can tell you this. Right next to the Scottrade Center is the St. Louis Union Station (train depot). On the other side of that is a Drury Inn. I have stayed there twice to attend events at this arena (hockey game and Van Halen concert). Easy walking distance for sure. But even closer at the Union Station is a Marriot hotel. Good luck.

I was trying to book at either one of those places for about the past two weeks never could find an opening.
-
I canceled a room at the Hilton, which is .7 of a mile away to stay at the Sheraton. Staying put now.

Six weeks...

I originally had a room at the Drury Inn, but it was just for one person. When I tried for two beds after I realized there would be two of us, I couldn't get a room.

Ok, So Paul has a tendacey to do a song by legends of Rock and Roll when in a location where one has a home town or lives or lived. Dallas a couple years ago he paid homage to Buddy Holly, When in Houston does Midnight Special last year in Detroit did a song of Marvin Gaye's...So what is the chance of him doing a song for or with Chuck Berry here in St Louis?? Chuck still plays regulary in a place called Blueberry hill in St Louis.

That thought crossed my mind too. I don't think they'd get Chuck on stage, but thinking maybe Paul would do a version of Roll Over Beethoven, even though it was George's cover.... or Rock And Roll Music, even though it was John's cover.... ...or maybe Brown Eyed Handsome Man, since he's got that great cover on Run Devil Run.... and Paul once recorded a version of Chuck's Sweet Little Sixteen, though never released. Also, Maybelline could be a contender, since it was frequently done in the early days, plus during the Get Back sessions. Am I missing anything?

I have not received my Crowdsurge tix yet either - anxiously awaiting. We are staying at the Omni Majestic which is about .5 mile from Scotttrade. I was having a tough time finding a room too for the wife and adult kids. It looks ok and the reviews were pretty good. Unless something opens at the Marriott I think we will stay at the Omni.

How about Come Together or is that too oblique?

Speaking of Chuck, I see that the RRHOF is honoring him later this month. http://www.playhousesquare.org/default.asp?playhousesquare=58&objId=3466 "Additional guests will be announced soon." (Not intended to start any rumors.)
