HEY! I ACTUALLY GOT PAID!

I was visiting my Mom at her care home, (everything according to Covid rules), when a worker who had seen the work I'd brought Mom, asked if I would do a black & white portrait of her and her mom. I said yes, though I was very nervous--this was my first "commision"! I had it ready by the next visit and took it and the photo it was based on back. The lady was thrilled. And guess what? She paid me $60.00!!! I guess I'm a paid artist now. Maybe it will lead to more work! Keeping my fingers crossed.

That's fantastic, Laura and you certainly deserve it, you're a very talented artist. You should continue that particular endeavor which paid you, and advertise, I think. Maybe that lady will procure you more work by word of mouth, too. This should really inspire and motivate you. Your efforts are really appreciated.
