Winders if regular networks are showing the gig in the states? I'm sure Paul will do just fine at this gig... will he throw in something new?
-
As far as I remember The Rolling Stones have never shared a stage with Paul. They did it with John. It could be the first time, now, in 2012. Paul could play the bass, I think he knows the basslines...

They wouldn't stay for the ending at Concert for NY.

Well it was Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, not The Rolling Stones.

CBS is one of many networks covering the concert, Harley. Paul did mention having some "surprises" for the show.

I think Paul mentions having "something special" or "surprises" before every tour, too.

Lets be fair the only surprise there will be if Paul doesn't do Hey Jude, this type of concert doesn't lend itself to "surprises" so more of the same and in this case that's no bad thing.

His setlist for Concert for New York was kind of surprising...I expected all Beatles but not I'm Down and he did a couple of songs from Driving Rain that I doubt most of that audience knew.

Just to add to that, of the six songs Paul performed that night, 4 of them were first timers.

12-12-12 concert merchandise is up on the official 12-12-12 site. I might buy the poster, I hate carrying stuff around at shows so I will probably just get it online instead of at The Garden.

Because he has no new album (Driving Rain) and I'm doubting he's written a song specially for this event ("Freedom"), I'm not thinking the bulk of his setlist will be new songs. I think we have a chance for "Wonderful Christmastime" and maybe another song he rarely plays.

I was going to say Mull of Kintyre he doesn't do that much in America does he?don't know why it just seems fitting for this time of the year

I think there is a decent shot at "Wonderful Christmastime" but unfortunately there is no chance for "Mull Of Kintyre" (imo)

I think his choices for Concert for NY were bad choices...just PUSHIN his new album. And his Tshirt was bad too! But that's neither here nor there. lol

I was thinking the same thing...would be very cool to have "Mull..." played for the first time ever in the U.S. at this show... ...or possibly "Wonderful Christmastime" with snow falling as the closer.
-
Oh i agree Mull is very much a long shot but the song has a weight to it with the pipers and all would be a hell of a way to end any show, but i agree if a seasonal song is to be played it will be Wonderful Christmastime.
