Oh i agree Mull is very much a long shot but the song has a weight to it with the pipers and all would be a hell of a way to end any show, but i agree if a seasonal song is to be played it will be Wonderful Christmastime.
He has to end the show with a singalong.

Winders if regular networks are showing the gig in the states? I'm sure Paul will do just fine at this gig... will he throw in something new?
CBS is one of many networks covering the concert, Harley. Paul did mention having some "surprises" for the show.
Lets be fair the only surprise there will be if Paul doesn't do Hey Jude, this type of concert doesn't lend itself to "surprises" so more of the same and in this case that's no bad thing.
His setlist for Concert for New York was kind of surprising...I expected all Beatles but not I'm Down and he did a couple of songs from Driving Rain that I doubt most of that audience knew.
Just to add to that, of the six songs Paul performed that night, 4 of them were first timers.
Because he has no new album (Driving Rain) and I'm doubting he's written a song specially for this event ("Freedom"), I'm not thinking the bulk of his setlist will be new songs. I think we have a chance for "Wonderful Christmastime" and maybe another song he rarely plays.
I was going to say Mull of Kintyre he doesn't do that much in America does he?don't know why it just seems fitting for this time of the year
I think there is a decent shot at "Wonderful Christmastime" but unfortunately there is no chance for "Mull Of Kintyre" (imo)
I think his choices for Concert for NY were bad choices...just PUSHIN his new album. And his Tshirt was bad too! But that's neither here nor there. lol
He got the Tshirt while visiting a firehouse in NYC so while not flattering it was appropriate. "From A Lover To A Friend" was the single that he was donating money from so that was how he justified that one. I really liked "Yesterday" with just the strings. It's hard for me to complain about that show because of what it was for. But I don't think I was ever more dissapointed in Paul then when he couldn't come up with anything else after "Let It Be" than "Freedom" again. Between Clapton, Billy Joel etc. I am sure they could have come up with something to end the night with a bang

How about ending with the Stones "We Love You?"

The 12.12.12.org site lists these as carrying the show; note it says CBS (a "regular" network). Note that MTV is not on the list, but they haven't been a music channel in about 20 years. http://www.121212concert.org/watch#section-3 US TELEVISION CHANNELS AMC AXS TV BIO Bloomberg CBS Cooking Channel Destination America Discovery Fit & Health ENCORE EPIX FX Movie Channel FEARnet Fuse G4 Hallmark Movie Channel HBO HBO Latino IFC ION Television Lifetime Real Women Live Well Network Military History MSG MSG Plus MUNDOFOX NJTV Palladia PlumTV SHOWTIME 2 Smithsonian Channel Sundance Channel THIRTEEN VH1 Classic WEtv WLIW WLNY WPSG/The CW Philly Wealth TV

Yes, I know that but it was so totally the wrong size.

Here's hoping Paul plays some of his lesser known deep cuts like: Hello Goodbye Get Back Drive My Car Magical Mystery Tour Lady Madonna Can't Buy Me Love We Can Work It Out Paperback Writer Penny Lane Eleanor Rigby Yesterday Let It Be Band On The Run Jet Live And Let Die Hey Jude ...and he stops playing song like: Too Much Rain My Brave Face Daytime Nightime Suffering Get On The Right Thing Wanderlust Only Love Remains Beautiful Night Come on Paul your always playing your biggest hits! Why not play some of those Beatles classics for once!
-
next week is a big week for paul, publicity wise. other than that i'm sure Paul gets the most out of every day being who he is.

For a second there, I thought I was in that parallel universe thread again.

Anybody have a spare ticket to 121212 here? I'm afraid to use any broker site, eBay or craig's for fear of fraud. I did try both at the presale and at the regular sale. Not looking for the high priced seats.

I think everyone out there is only looking for the $125 or $250 seats (and that's Springsteen fans, too, according to the forum I belong to for him) but I don't think very many of those were sold...
-
I don't know of anyone who has those tickets... only the $2,500 ones came up!! Can't even get a ticket to the local theater! There's always youtube! And then the DVD hopefully!!

I tried to let you know.. I knew someone w/ a ticket the other day if you look thru the thread............ he sold it yesterday....
-
Man, I had 2 tickets to this show in my Ticketmaster cart when they went on sale. They were obstructed view in section 109 for $500 each. So I dumped them and tried again. Bad move. Never got any more. Now I'm kicking myself for letting those tickets go. Those would have been gold. Tickets in that section are selling for over $5,000.00 each on Stub Hub. Not that I would sell charity tickets for a profit.
-
I hope that all who are looking for tickets find them, and that everyone at the show has a blast. Of course, this is a benefit first and foremost, so make sure to dig deep, everyone!
