The Who mentioned that they would be there, when I saw them in NJ. It sounded last minute...don't think I saw them on the list.

According to this article, Bruce willl open, and Paul will close, the show: http://www.showbiz411.com/2012/12/11/bruce-springsteen-to-open-paul-mccartney-to-close-12-12-12-concert Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will make a musical sandwich with Paul McCartney tomorrow night at the 12-12-12 Concert at Madison Square Garden. The scrumptious filling will be composed of the Rolling Stones, The Who, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi and several more star acts. The show begins at 7:30 pm, streamed on dozens of websites and broadcast everywhere on TV. It?s also being shown in movie theaters. Check www.121212.concert.org for all the details. Organizers say that between ticket sales at the Garden (very expensive) and sponsorships they?ve got $30 million in hand. Devastated areas in New York and New Jersey really need it as people are suffering without their homes or possessions. PS I?d bet good money now that the closing song is ?Hey Jude.? The opener? I?m still waiting for Bruce to do ?Sandy (Fourth of July).? Tickets are still available, in short supply and high prices, at StubHub.

Don't think closing song will be Hey Jude. Think they will have a all-star jam with Bruce, Stones,Billy Joel and others so I bet it is a rocking Beatle song and something they can do dueling guitar solos.

I'm going to make a whole night of it. A few drinks. Lots o' snacks! Gonna be a fun night for a necessary cause.

This is going to be so great! Looks like it will be raising a lot of money for such a good cause. Drove by the hardest hit areas and there are still people without power...it looked so strange....one dark house after another...and then maybe one or two lights on with those that have generators. There have been local benefits, but they won't put a dent in things compared to this show. Was speaking to some folks who had shops along the beach in hard hit areas, at a local benefit last weekend. They were saying that their shop was filled with sand, and all of the contents had been smashed up against the far wall...including things from other shops. Some were lucky, to have businesses that were still standing...what is so sad to see, are the houses and shops that have been pretty much gutted by the sheer weight of the water! A large part of one town near me, has been washed away...gone... Landmark building that have been there forever...now, just flat ground, after the debris has been removed. It will be many years for these places to recover, if at all. This is such a wonderful, generous act of humanity, for these musicians to get together and do this concert!! It is so appreciated by the many communities, that really need the support!

lol--could be. I guess Two and a Half Men is more important than helping their fellow humans.

I reckon the same. More likely to end with Twist and Shout or I Saw Her Standing There situation. FWIW, I don't even think Hey Jude will be played.

Paul McCartney Talks Hurricane Sandy:
I was wondering where Paul's video was! They've been adding videos of the concert performers to the FB and Twitter pages for the concert every few days. Glad Paul got one, too. Love the song choice, too--hoping it gets played!

You beat me to it. You can pre-order live songs from the show on iTunes (apparently international folks are having a problem doing so at this time ). Here's the article: http://www.examiner.com/article/live-tracks-from-12-12-12-hurricane-sandy-benefit-to-be-released
