NYC, NY - MSG - 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Benefit - ARCHIVE

McCartney always put on something special for events like this. It's really not always only 'Let It Be', 'Yesterday' and 'Hey Jude' for special events. He knows this. Being it 'Ob-La-Di' at the Jubilee, or 'Hey J... I mean 'Golden Slumbers' (and the scrapped idea of '1985') at The GRAMMYs this year. I also think he will do 'Blackbird' tonight, and hopefully he will grab this chance to showcase a killer song like '1985'. Not too far-stretched, and not played to death. We will see in the coming hours.

It's on. 'Land of Hope and Dreams', Springsteen.

Let us have a moment of silence before the show begins for Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. Without them organizing Bangladesh benefit in 1971, we wouldn't be having a show like this. Ravi passed away yesterday. thanks.

As if her worthless opinion matters at all. Isn't she most famous for taking drugs and a theory about her having shot her husband?

Yeah but his first album is called Greetings from Asbury Park, NJ! So I can see why people would think otherwise.
-
Jake Clemons does his uncle proud on the Born To Run sax solo. Bon Jovi doesn't add much to the song.
-
They have all this amazing talent and then Chris Martin from Coldplay. ZZZZZ... Hope I don't fall asleep when he's on.
