are these the lyrics? "mother set me free mother let me be mother watch me blow mother i want to have a son"

Michelley:
Dad jeans? I don't follow. He looked good in those jeans. Far better than he has looked in some of those Nehru suit collars he wears. He looked comfortable and relaxed. Frankly if you look at Krist Novoselic's pants, they are at the same level on Krist's body as Paul's jeans are on Paul's body. I don't see "dad jeans." I just see jeans. And he fit those jeans quite well.
I'm with you Michelley ... Dad jeans? He looked awesome, relaxed, happy and ready to entertain for a great cause. I live in New York and had family effected by Sandy. It was so amazing to see some of the greatest artists come together last night. I am a huge Who fan as well and the smiles on their faces while performing and the energy level they bring is always so great to see. My hilights were: Paul ( of course ) , the Who, Eddy Vedder and Roger Waters ( and I am not a Pink Floyd fan at all). Also I know Chris Martin takes a lot of crap too sometimes but I thought he was wonderful as well ( again not a big fan of Coldplay but he did very well ). It was interesting and downright criminal that a few channels did not stick with the concert for the entire night. My own recording is a bit of a mashup as well. My dvr stopped recording just as Paul came on and I didn't realize it for a minute or two. I remember with the concert for New York they did re air it a week or so later . I am hopeful this will be re aired too. Awesome night.

anyway, right or wrong, here I go... I want to record the first cover ever of this, so I will be able to tell my grandchildren (if I ever had them) "I watched that McCartney's night, and I did the first cover of that" Only half of the song, why would I go on without drums and etc... see you

Sorry I brought the whole "mom jeans" issue to light. But since we're on it... ...all I meant is that the "cut" is very...boxy. Doesn't fit his physique to its fullest potential. They're a little too plain -- like what a soccer-mom wears when running errands. Now, I'm not suggesting that Paul wear super-tight jeans like Springsteen, or bedazzled jeans like Kravitz...just something with a little more flair and form-fitting. He wore "mom jeans" throughout the 2002, '03 and '04 tours, and I thought all that was behind him now because he has never dressed better than he has this past year. So, let's all lighten up. Paul's set kicked ass like never before, but -- as a diehard fan -- I just made my little, inconsequential observation. Again, though, the light color looked GREAT! (btw: I extend the same suggestion to our beloved President Obama, as well )

Audi...we just need a poll...who wore the best trousers last night...now Kanye...he is definitely not going to win that one For me I definitely would vote for Paul or Bruce...

Amazing concert. Was it broadcast in HD by any channel around the world? It was broadcast live by 4 channels here, but they were all SD.

Palladia had it in HD, and I got it all DVR'd baby! I love Nirvana again! That band sounded amazing. Wish they would move forward as a group, renamed of course. But that song came out of one session of making noise. Talk about potential. Love the guitar Paul played as well. Outside of that Nirvana/Paul tune, my fav was Pink Floyd. I thought they killed and had the strongest songs. Amazing concert.

Kanye only did 3 songs??????? My God, it went on forEVER..I kept checking back to see if he was done..seemed like he was on for hours... What a waste of air time-they could have had a great jam session in his spot.

Literally just got home from the show--I've now been awake for 30 straight hours. I have some video and photos to post and will do that later tonight, but I just wanted to say that I thought Paul did well, with the highlight for me being the Nirvana/McCartney collaboration, which is going to be on the Dave Grohl-headed documentary "Sound City" which is set to be released in February. Studio recording of this song will be on the soundtrack. I agree about the setlist being a bit odd...not my first choices with some of those songs, but hey, he sounded better than he has in a bit, which I also thought of the St. Louis performance. Maybe he's finally seeing a vocal coach? What a night...
Thirty hours???? Sounds like jetlag and just as much fun as going abroad. Get some good and long sleep.
Just woke up and am catching up on the comments here--still can't believe how awesome last night was. Lots of NY and Jersey folks in the audience, which made the show all the better. Hearing the scream whenever a performer or celebrity mentioned their town or area name and having the section of rescue workers in my line of sight was a great reminder of what last night was about.

Here's Paul already legendary performance (I'm glad he didn't retire after the Olympics ) : From the concert: 1.Helter Skelter hd
2.Let Me Roll It hd 3. 1985 hd 4. My Valentine (feat. Diana Krall) 5. Blackbird hd 6. Cut Me Some Slack hd (ft. Nirvana except for Kurt Cobain,..) 7. I've Got A Feeling hd 8. Live And Let Die hd It reminds me of this one Queen-Live Aid PS is there anybody else who can perform with Diana Krall and Nirvana? -

That must have been terrific, being there. Did you have good seats? Even though I am ill, I started to regret not being there, all those names under one roof. Glad Paul didn't do Hey Jude, padded out the set list with 1985, even tossing in My Valentine. That was a surprise. I thought the Who doing Pinball Wizard, Tommy Overture with storm damage footage really worked well together. They still got it.

While I took my bathroom breaks during the two artists that I either don't like (Bon Jovi) and don't know well (Alicia Keys), the only artist who really stunk it up out there was Kanye. He was energetic and all, but he went on forever. When Kanye plays more than The Rolling Stones or other amazing artists, you have to wonder. Then he drops his mic on the stage and storms off. Glad he remembered what the concert was for. :

Does anyone know of a rebroadcast???? Unfortunately, I have a fever/cold rigth now and couldn't say up late Fortunately, I programmed the DVR to tape until 1:00 eastern time US on AMC; unfortunately, it cuts off right at the start of Cut Me Some Slack that I saw on Youtube early this morning! Here's hoping the networks cut people like me some slack and rebroadcast
They are rebroadcasting the "LIVE STREAM" of the entire concert here on you tube right now (so you can't rewind or go forward, only watch "Live"). It just now started.

Thanks--I'm going to watch it this weekend as I'd like to see what the television- and internet-viewing audiences saw.

Sounds good, thanks to you both. I wil wait till I am well enough to get off this laptop, watch on desktop as my better half doesn't want me to infect the keyboards she uses.
