Rusty is lovely in person.
Yes, he certainly is. I've seen him perform with his band 3 times here in L.A. and he was nice enough to spend some time speaking with me and signing my copy of Undressing Underwater. He even wrote a little note, alongside his signature. And, by the way, he has the LARGEST hands!!
His hands are huge, and he also did write me a note on my UU album. He's lovely.
you gals are soooo bad LOL nice hands huh audrey

We didn't say anything bad; just that his hands are big.

Grrr...I woke up early today (8 am) to listen to Los Angeles' Breakfast with the Beatles, where Rusty is supposed to be calling in to give updates about the tour each week, but it's starting NEXT WEEK! Woke up early for nothing. Has anyone found any photos of Rusty or the rest of the band from either Miami or Tampa? All of the ones I've seen are of that main guy - I think his name is Paul? () - or wide shots of the stage (which looks AWESOME by the way), and so you can't really see how the other guys look.
-
I check just about every photo site I can think of that would have pictures from Miami/Tampa and nothing

Has anyone heard from Diana? I hope she's all right...she usually posts good pictures of Rusty...well until then, here's a good one

Rusty does not read message boards, so no worries.

Ha !! Just as well then

BTW, just as an aside to people who emailed me via MySpace, I had to close that account. I was getting too many whackjob emails from people begging for backstage passes, and then getting really nasty when I told them no (people I didn't know at all, complete strangers with an amazing vocabulary of four-lettered words). So just use my coreene@yahoo.com email, that's my personal one.

Is Rusty's CD for sale with the tour merchandise at the shows? That would be great--to hear it is to love it. Also the Peal EP he did with Paul Plagens is available for purchase at Otherworld Distractions-- very good music.

Published September 21, 2005 First jobs ? Rusty Anderson Rusty Anderson Metro: What was your first job, and what did you learn from it that you are still using today? Rusty Anderson: I was a door-to-door salesman for cleaning and beauty products. I was about 14 at the time and I would walk door to door and go, 'Hello, ma'am. I have a free gift for you today.' I did that for almost a year ? that paid for my first hi-watt amp. From that job, I learned how to get over rejection and get on with life. Knocking on people's doors cold is a hard one, but I take this advice with me ? it's not considered rejection, it's considered selection. Seasoned session guitar player Rusty Anderson, whose latest role is as lead guitarist for Paul McCartney, will re-release his first solo effort Undressing Underwater on Sept. 27. He'll appear with Sir Paul when the former Beatle stops by the Air Canada Centre on Oct. 10.
