Does anyone know if there is a fam club pre-sale that usually happens before the fix go in sale to the public? Also what is included in the VIP tickets!? Thanks in Advance!
-
I'm getting upset at all of these guys bypassing one of the biggest and most affluent cities in North America because Calgary has the Saddledome and guys like Paul can't play in there due to the shape of it!! Every time I want to see a good artist anymore, I have to drive three hours north to Edmonton!! Aghhh!!

*THIS* Also, do I need premium account for that 100%? If so, is there any days before I can use it?

I know. Saddledome is weird. I don't know what to say about what we'll be getting soon enough, some really expensive place where Paul was apparently happy to play at Rexall.

Anyways, for those of you that are interested in the Edmonton show, I've gotten some details from the Ticketmaster site seeing something called "Hot Ticket Packages". Hopefully this will be something for us to hop up on. Apparently the presale for those is happening on Wednesday morning at 10am! I left an inquiry regarding this with Live Nation Alberta Facebook group and a rep got back to me about it, saying they're waiting for more information about it. Hopefully I get a good seat, and hopefully, you guys here as well!

UPDATE: After reading another thread here about people asking about presale codes, I started thinking about those as well... The board admins says to keep an eye on the main site here if you are a premium member (which I now am, just in case, but you do get some cool stuff sent to your door), and make sure you are logged in on the main site. But, keep an eye on both the Paul McCartney official website if you are a fan and likely the Facebook Live Nation Alberta page as well... My head is starting to hurt. lol... I'm trying to compile useful information. lol

Totally getting the run around from ticket master. They are being rather cryptic/sevretive about these "Hot Ticket Packages" No one is giving me a straight answer! Me: How do you get the pre sale code for the "Hot Ticket Packages" for Paul McCartney in Edmonton? Ticketmaster Canada :Hello Aoifa, we cannot give that code out sorry. 21 minutes ago · Like Me: Cryptic...... So no one can get them? What are they exactly? Me: What are these tickets? Can the general public get them? Is it a corporate or fan club thing? Ticket master:. They are available to the general public. However, they will cost much more. We hope this helps! Me: It does and it doesn't. I want VIP tickets and and ready to pay for them. It's not clear how I'm supposed to do it if no code is available.... CAn you message me what to do? Most appreciated! (I have the code for Thursday but If I can skip the que it would be great) Jeez! Way to assume I won't pay extra!! LOL

I suppose the simple answer is you will get the run-around until the official announcements and pre-sales open up. Pre-sales target specific groups who get to learn though their provider, details are not openly published for all - otherwise that'd render the special privilege worthless. Types that get the alerts: Often credit card companies arrange special deals - American Express is famous for this, although I don't know if they are in the mix this time round. their customers will be informed through their credit card company. Regular customers of venues often get the heads up - again the venue would contact their regulars with details directly. Regular customers and newletter subscribers to the major entertainment groups often get a nod - Live Nation and AEGLive seem to be setting pre-sales up so go to them and check those out. Paul's promoter Marshall Arts does something similar - again sign up for news alerts and newsletters on their site. If it's a sports club venue season ticket holders often get pre-sale opportunities - again details are circulated only to the season ticket holders directly by the club. And, of course, the artists fan-site, often with some kind of privilege if there's a subscription membership. Paul's site usually has a pre-sale, which, in the past, has an early entry to Premium members - at the moment the info pages are saying "keep checking back" while they keep details under wraps. If you are entitled to benefit from any of these, it's important you do not publish pre-sale info on the web - for to do so will render any special privilege worthless within moments. It is a moment to be selfish - until you've secured your tickets at least So what do we know to date? General sales Friday 14th Pre-sales Wednesday 12th With different pre-sale opportunities opening up on a variety of fronts. Generally speaking it seems each different pre-sale provider have different blocks of seating to offer, so it's worth learning as much as you can about each available pre-sale you qualify for. But agencies such as TicketMaster will continue to give polite non-answers ahead of official release times. Martin

martinput has a lot of good things to say there. I've been keeping my eye on Live Nation and the site here under my premium membership. That should be enough and to be ready for Wednesday at 10am. I'm too poor for the Front Row thing or for the Soundcheck package, so I'll be going with the Gold package, or whatever Paul's site brings up when it comes out... which I'll be biting my nails for. This is incredibly cryptic when there's Live Nation thrown into the mix for tickets, which I know they'll have something decent as well. But, I seem to be doing much better now, but the lack of info and the short time to act on it doesn't make me too much of a happy camper when it's less than a week from the announcement to the ticket sales, pretty much. But I'm not trying to complain because Paul is coming here, but you understand what I'm trying to say.

TOTALLY feeling that!!! I'm on Maccawatch 24/7 right now. I wish they'd post at least the prices, so we could be better prepared. I have a feeling if I can't get presale I'm hooped!!!!

It is helpful to know I might still be sane - though completely distracted - as I read comments reflecting where I am at! Never in my lifetime did I think I would have the chance to see Paul perform live in my lifetime. I don't know what I will do if I am not actually at the concert in Edmonton. I am hopeful people can share here what anyone learns about Edmonton pre-sales as this is not a 'public site' - we are all big fans here! I don't even know how Live Nation works. I have downloaded their app onto my phone but don't know what to expect when their presales open up. Do they auction the tickets??? I know Live Nation has stated they will have Thursday presales. Who are the Wednesday presales through?? Any and all help & love between fans much appreciated!!!

I totally relate. I think about not being there and I literally cry. Big time. I've never used Live nation, but from what I understand they are run by ticketmaster so it will not be auction. I have the app too and you can buy the tickets right from the app. There is not any info on there yet, but I looked on the Live Nation Alberta Facebook page, and from what I can ascertain, they will have a presale code on there as well sometime "early this week" according to them. So as far as what my plan is: 1) Try getting presale tix on app 2) Try getting on LiveNation and Ticketmaster websites 3) Once we recieve more info on these so called "Hot Ticket Packages" on Ticketmaster, try for those (that presale is on Wed while the others appear to be on Thursday) 4) According to some of the other posts I've seen on the forums, you can also order tickets through Paul's main wenbsite I'm not a premium member (we're scraping together the money just to buy tix at this point) but I think that the presale for that will be here on the site or through ticketmaster. I've also read that sometimes ehat the site has done in the past is open up Premium presale password, and then a couple hours later release to evryone on website, premium or regular member I really hope this helps!!! I'm hoping we can all keep each other informed and in the loop
