Officially bouncing off the walls STILL! Over 12 hours after buying my tickets lol. Being 20, it's super hard to be a Beatles fan!!! I've been in love with them since I was 16 and started filling my head with everything Fab Four. And not a lot of people my age "get it" . So to find an amazing bunch of people who totally get the inside of my head is AWESOME! So thank you to all you guys for being the great Macca fans that you are!!! We've had each others back through this whole pre-sale process and the feeling of community has been great!! Peace and Love! Kass
Do you live in Edmonton? We should definitely be best friends! Hahahaa, I'm 21 and I DEFINITELY know how you feel. I'm sure lots of my friends from high school don't even know who Paul McCartney is... >.>
I'm 25 now... I was on this board in 2003. I really had no one to talk to so I went here. Some kids do know who Paul McCartney is... they're just kind of the band geek types, usually, like I was. There's a few friends my age that said when the concert came up, "Kat, this is for you! Hope you get good tickets." They knew, they understand. Although, you never know in your class. I actually asked "Who here likes Paul McCartney a lot?" and got laughed at. Hey, I considered it a legit surveying. ops: Oh yeah, I'm also in Edmonton.

For the record, I was logged into my Ticketmaster account and leapt at 10 AM on the dot. Tickets seemed to vanish in under a minute and then the whole site crashed. Same result with the worthless Live Nation app. Well, that's that. The Macca fan club pre-sale didn't work, the Live Nation pre-sale didn't work, and the general sales didn't work. I spent three days trying and got nowhwere. That's the Hat Trick of corporate fail. Isn't great how our consumer needs are being met by the merger of titans lke Live Nation and Ticketmaster? Sad day in Edmonton. But there arte already more than 2000 tickets up on StubHub. The clear moral to this story is that scalpers win and fans lose in Alberta. We're just crushed. They probably need to go to a system where tix are sold online but can only be picked up at the venue with an ID. That's how presales for Roger Waters/The Wall worked here, and it went off without a hitch. But who knows, maybe Tickmetmaster and StubHub are in cahoots.

Bricknee's boyfriend managed to see seats available at 4pm. Seems like a good suggestion. Check in the "off hours" a little bit. Not just at 10am in the morning, see what comes up. I've heard that a couple of days before a show, some seats do open up for whatever reason, so it's worth trying a few weeks before as well. I've never done it myself, but apparently one of my friends have. I'm doing "Will Call" at the venue myself, because I don't like the idea of my expensive as hell ticket being in the mail.

Our daughters were both planning to come home from unviersity for the show, so waiting until closer to the show wouldn't give us time to plan the logistics. I think we're done.

SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL randywilliamsyeg!!! I've been rooting for him to get tickets for the last several days, only to be disappointed each time. One more chance!

Will there be a presale?

Huh? lol a presale? Yeah this second concert that was just announced will now have a presale to it. Totally makes sense being that it was unplanned... how would you like you presale code sent to you?
-
Sale for 2nd show begins at 1200!
-
How can there be a pre-sale when tickets go on sale at noon?

I have no idea.

Success -- I finally got in to the Crowdsurge fan site on the fifth try and scored four seats with good sightlines. We're up fairly high, but we're going to the second show -- and we didn't pay inflated scalper prices, either. I never WAS able to get back onto the Ticketmaster site. Total fail from their end. I cleared cookies, rebooted my machine, etc. Customer support email said I may have been blocked as a suspected scalper because I'd been on the page so constantly for two days trying (unsuccessfully) to get tix. IRONY! Thanks, everyone! Peace, Randy
-
Congratulations!!! I'm so glad you were able to get tickets. Enjoy!!!! (Meanwhile, all the scalpers were able to get on Tmaster I'm sure...)

Congrats on your tickets, Randy. It's tough and frustrating but I'm glad you got some. I'm not going to the Edmonton show but when I checked on the crowdsurge page a few mins ago there was still some tickets available there for anyone who does not have them yet! Ticketmaster tickets appear to be all sold out already!

Yes! Good job Randy! Unless you want to splurge on the VIP, there's stuff still coming up at the $450+ price level. I'd consider it cheap seeing what the scaplers are trying to do. I still don't know what the hell is going on there... geeze.

Randy, Just a quick question: How many tickets were you trying for? edit: Oh, I just saw you were looking for 4 in a row... I've always found the more you try in the same seating together in a row or something, the exponentially harder it is to get those tickets. It sucks though, eh?
-
Yeah, I was looking for four in any section at any price. Yesterday and this morning on Ticketmaster, I even scaled it back to two seats with no luck. Thank goodness for the fan club sales.
-
Yeah, Randy, it's harder when you need that many in a row. I'm glad you did it this time, though, otherwise I was going to recommend a 2 and 2 split or something. I know it sounds crappy, but sometimes it's the only way. But, I'm happy you scored on the fan ticket sale. Way to go!

Just a random thought... This may be the only time I actually get to meet hardcore Paul fans in Edmonton, so I'm going to suggest a meetup of some sort at a local place in town. This could be the night before, or the day of before the soundcheck or anything. I don't get to mix (at the soundcheck/reception) with the soundcheckers because I really couldn't put down the dough this time. I know, right? I've been waiting a long time for this and I just didn't have... *sigh* Anyways, enough about that, but just a thought. Let me know. This is for everyone soundcheck, VIP, regular seat, or random fan.
