Boston, MA - Fenway Park - July 17th - ARCHIVE

I only had the chance to buy a single ticket. Two together never presented themselves. Is the presale now over? I was getting upset imagining resellers maybe having found a way to spoil this. I have always been able to get a pair of the $250 tickets in a decent spot.
-
I managed to get two together in B2, row 3 at 12:03 yesterday! I kept searching for new seats hoping that something in the A sections would come up, but I just kept getting rows 3 and 6 of a few B sections. In any case, I'm ecstatic! It'll be my first time being this close to him since London 2009! By the way, how many rows are in the A sections? In other words, how many rows is B2 row 3 away from the stage?

Thanks! Apparently there are 39 rows in A4.. so row 3 of the B sections would be row 42 from the stage. I think of the turf seats as the party area - everybody is standing up and dancing, no need to worry about blocking people's view who are sitting behind you. It'll be the party to be at in town! Can't wait!

I think the presage tickets are all sold out. That's why you can't add anything to the cart. I bought a hot sound package but am having second thoughts and may look to sell it if I can get a pair of regular tickets during the regular sale this Friday.
-
Aren't those packages non-transferable? I really hoped to buy one this time but I haven't had big paychecks recently. It sounds like fun but I wish that it were a little easier for regular people to meet our hero. In his Driving Rain dvd one of his assistants jokes about dealing with VIP's who get to meet him backstage and "people who think they're VIP's" who I think also get to meet him but have to stand in a longer line probably. These packages don't even put us in the latter category and it seems like they have you very far from the stage for sound check.

The package is non-transferable but the seats for the concert can be sold. So the buyer wouldn't get the sound check and all the extras - just the seats. But the seats are so good, I'm reasonably sure I could get my money back.
-
I completely forgot about the regular sale - I think I am just going to bite he bullet and use my hot sound package! I'm from CT but I've seen Paul twice in Boston and have also seen him in NY and NJ and the Boston crowds have the best energy!

Yeah we do!

I got lucky as I was on vacation during the pre sales and couldn't purchase at that time....but I did score during the general sale last Friday. It was easy for me as I just wanted to get 'in da house'...and I did. Btw, did anyone notice that the general sale offered one price point lower than what was available during the pre sale?
-
The general sale was a lot easier to get good seats for. The pre-sale seemed to all go to resellers who had them in droves. I didn't notice the other price point but in looking at the set list it looks like he is sticking to one list without variation this time. Is that true? I love him adding new stuff like A Hard Days Night. I wish he would do that even more. It'd be great to have him being out a real horn section and do Silly Love Songs, Take It Away and Penny Lane. It'd be great to hear She Loves You and I Wanna Hold Your Hand again too.[/code]

Any other Fenway Park attendees on here?

I just received my tickets in the mail on Saturday- I bought the Hot Sound tix during the presale but there wasn't anything about the sound check on the tickets or enclosed with the tickets. Will they be mailing that out closer to the show, or should I be calling about it? So excited! Can't wait to see him!

You will get an email from SLOTix Customer Service about one week before the concert with all of the details on where and when to meet for soundcheck.

Really hope they mail the merchandise - I hate carrying stuff around during the show.

Sorry, if you have soundcheck, they don't ship it. You will get it at the show. I also hate carrying stuff at shows, but it is what it is.

IT's unfortunate as we also booked a hotel close-by - I am assuming that once you're let in for the soundcheck that you're stuck there for the rest of the show - or are the main show tickets separate - meaning we could leave post sound check and re-enter for the main show?

No, you won't be able to leave once you are let in for soundcheck. They will scan your concert tickets at check-in. I found that the tote bag (with the rest of the stuff inside it) just barely fits under the seat, so that's where I put mine during the show.
