I have just become aware of this book about the experiences of a dancer during Paul's 2002-2004 tours:

Has anyone here ever read it? It is worth buying? It's certainly different from the ones we usually see about Paul:

I looked for more details about book on Amazon and did not find anymore info. Book had two reviews but both were ratings and said nothing about the book. I would be leary of buying such a book and doubt there would really be that much interesting insight from a dancer behind the scenes of a McCartney tour.  I don't even recall any dancers during his DR tour so somebody correct me if I am wrong.  Maybe it was a pre-show thing?

At the 2002 concert there were all kinds of "performers" dressed up in costumes and mingling among the audience at the beginning of the concert. Could she be one of those?

I totally forgot about that to be honest.  That being said, these "performers" were not integral part of the show so I would doubt  they really would provide that much information that would be interesting to us. Both my daughters danced professionally for a couple of years (ballet and modern companies) and if you were a dancer you would probably be more interested in what went on behind the scenes with a dance company than a McCartney tour.  It would be different IMO if these dancers actually were part of the show which is the case for people like Madonna, Tina Turner and others over the years. Personally, I would pass on the book.

I love the pre show music! I've got it on a boot DVD.

This is soooooo cool!  Could you please PM me about the boot (if it’s still available  ). I have been looking for this for so long. That looks like it’s in front of the Hermitage!!! This is way cool and my brother went to this tour and never told me so I could go!!! I like Linda’s Rushes voice there too! Wonder if this was the same DJ as the Twin Freaks DJ. Thanks in advance!  LOVE THIS

I will admit right off that I am not a fan of pre-shows especially when it is a major act like Paul McCartney.  I understand why they do it especially for outdoor shows. They open the gates early so they can sell merchandise/food and drink  so they feel they need to"entertain" people for a few hours.  You know darn well that for a outdoor show McCartney is not going to hit the stage until it gets dark out so depending on where it is means after 8pm.  I saw McCartney at Citi Field (NYC) in 2009 and made sure my wife and I did not arrive until around 7:30 pm so we would not have to wait hours for the show to begin.  Finally, if I am going to a concert and there is an opening act I prefer it to be a musical act which at least gives younger artist some exposure. I get that most of the crowd will ignore the act but there are some people like myself that will try to give them a listen. I did watch this pre-show and really was not impressed, the "aerial" part was ok.

Here is an image of the back cover. She seems to provide a unique perspective of what went on during those 2002-2004 tours.
