It will be awesome. I do know that many tickets in rows 3-5 for sure went for $250, so those people better not be at the sound check.

Is ANYONE on here doing s/c in Lincoln besides maccascruff and myself? Maybe it will be just the "Two of Us"? 😉

I will be there with my son, Jude! Row CC, seats 15 and 16.

Can anyone share any advice on making signs? What kinds of materials do you use? What about sign etiquette? I don't want to be rude to people around me. Thanks so much! I will have my 6-year-old son, Jude with me, and I want it to be an experience of a lifetime for him. We will be at the soundcheck, too!

Poster boards (approx 2' X 3') work very well. With your sons name being "Jude", I'm sure you can think of several witty statements that could catch Paul's eye! Write large enough for Paul to read from a distance (soundcheck you'll be in the middle section of the arena). As far as courtesy, don't hold your sign up during songs...that tends to annoy those behind you. Have a great time with your son and best of luck...let us know how it went.

I'm a rookie at this but I'm doing a poster board sized one for soundcheck then a couple of smaller ones for the actual show.

Thank you! So do you know where the "Haymarket Room Entrance" is? Wondering where the closest parking is.

The best I could get out of someone I talked to yesterday at the box office was the entrance is on the east side of the arena. There are parking ramps near the arena but many of them pre-sold parking so the closest one is full There's an outdoor "festival parking lot" NW of the arena w/ an overhead pedestrian bridge to the venue . . .I think that's where we're parking. It's supposed to be a 7-10 minute walk (again - according to the person I talked to yesterday). I have a friend that is a local Lincoln-ite(?) and he said the walk won't be that far . . .

The public parking garages are all reserved parking for events. Looks like the only one with reserved spots left is Lumberworks, but that looks farther than the festival space. They may have some spots they leave open for the public, but I don't know how to find out how many. The parking web site is here: http://www.lincoln.ne.gov/asp/eventprk/default.asp I think we'll just go to the festival space. We should be able to get a pretty good spot coming in so early.

http://parkandgo.org/media/documents/parkmap.pdf Click that link and you'll see a more detailed map of the parking around downtown Lincoln. Pay attention towards the top, or North, top of the map. Having attended the Arena for basketball games and used the earlier referred to festival parking, which will be to the north of the Pinnacle Bank Arena, just south of where you see Haymarket Park, which is the baseball park for the A level pro team and U of Nebraska baseball/softball. I have used that parking before and it will get you right to the Arena through the pedestrian bridge. It takes you to an upper level entrance so you'll need to go down the steps when you get to the Arena itself. Just to the left, or West, of Memorial Stadium, is Stadium Drive Parking Garage and that might be a good suggestion. It's maybe 4 blocks from the north side of the Arena. Might also offer a good exit for getting out of town, if you are heading towards Omaha, by getting on Salt Creek Roadway. There will probably be some parking to the North of Memorial Stadium off of Salt Creek Roadway. That might be a 8-10 block walk to the Arena south entrance. Hope this helps, and that it makes sense! If anything I would suggest avoiding the few blocks just south and southeast of the Arena. Part of the road right in front of the south entrance to the Arena will be blocked off. That leads to some traffic congestion.

My hotel is says it is a half mile from the venue. I'm going to walk over from there. I'm sure they will give me directions. I bought stuff to make a sign, but so far, I haven't made any.

I will never spend that kind of money on a concert. I think I just figured out why McCartney does not perform in Albuquerque!

I'm SO excited for tomorrow!! Are we ready, Lincoln-goers?? Six hours of work, three hours of driving, and PAUL!!!! I cannot WAIT to see him for the fourth time!! Anyone know if Paul's been getting press in Lincoln? I'm definitely going to try and grab a local paper tomorrow and Tuesday.
