That sickens me that anyone would spend that much in a month! 🤬 If I was married to PAUL McCARTNEY I wouldn't spend that kind of money!

Agreed!  That's almost 4 million a year just for clothes!!  Imagine what else she could be spending money on... shoes, hair care and beauty treatments (such as spas and facials, etc.), and expensive fitness trainers and pilates, not to mention household furniture and furnishings... Such a waste of money!  When a wife doesn't have her own job and depends on the support of her husband's money, overspending shows a real lack of respect for him and it's definitely taking advantage of the love he has for her.

I remember Paul saying in an interview once that when the Beatles broke up, all of their assets were frozen, where they couldn't withdraw or use any money for several months while the accountants sorted everything out.   He and Linda went to Scotland where they grew their own vegetables and lived off whatever money they could scrape up for the time being.   They knew it was going to be difficult, but the love they had for each other was stronger than their need for money and expensive things, so that sustained them and they encouraged each other that they would get through it ok.

That's why I feel love is what buys happiness, not money.  It's good to try to achieve financial security, but overspending is a definite sign of insecurity, and indicates deeper problems.   Evidently R. DeN's wife didn't feel she had a problem or needed help.

I wish R. deN. well, and hope he'll eventually be able to recover the fortune he's worked hard for many years to achieve.

LOL! I am positive that Paul spends quite a bit now. And what about his daughter that has her own empire, charging so much for clothes? Here is a jacket that sells for $1650.00! Buying her clothes would run up that tab quite a bit!

^ I doubt very seriously that Paul spends $4 million a year on clothes! And as far as Stella and her clothing line, I think all that high-end fashion at ridiculous prices is a travesty!

No, I never said that. I said he spends a lot now. Probably more on vacations & flights back & forth.

I doubt Paul is a clothes shopaholic - he's always been very frugal and opts for comfort in his clothing choices.  Whenever he does make purchases, he seems to support environmentally friendly companies rather than wanting to be seen in the latest fashion trends.  He appears to be a responsible shopper... keeping clothes he's had for a long time and only buying something when he needs to.

In my opinion if he wears clothes from Stella's designs, there's nothing wrong with that.  He's being a proud father showing support for his daughter.   And she is trying to run an environmentally friendly company, which he would want to support anyway.  But we have no way of knowing if he pays full price for the clothes.  Lots of times designers will give considerable discounts or even gift their designs to family members or celebrities.   If the celebrity wears their clothes, it's a good way to advertise their product, especially if  the celebrity is photographed wearing it.

I don't understand why high fashion has to be so expensive, but it's always been that way.  There will always be people who can afford it, and there will always be people who can't.    Even if I can't afford Stella's clothes, and have to buy Jaclyn Smith at Kmart instead     I admire Stella for wanting to make a difference in making the fashion industry more  environmentally friendly, and wish her success.

So sad to hear about those two splitting up. Thought they were long haulers.

Stella does have some beautiful clothes.  Some people who have the money, it isn’t a big deal to buy those nice things. A neighbor who is a caretaker for some summer homes in a wealthy town nearby, brought me some catalogs that the homeowner instructed him to throw out (name removed of course). Those clothes were like pieces of art and were very well made. Just gorgeous.  He would give me catalogs every once in a while and they were like going through Vogue. I have to say I got enjoyment from looking at them, they were very beautiful.

Paul has been going to the Hamptons since the '80s and to St. Bart's for over a decade. It's not like he spends a lot more "now." I guess I don't understand what your point is. I was just stating that the woman who Robert DeNiro is divorcing is being ridiculous in her spending, as is anyone wealthy who spends money on themselves in such a large amount. That's why I'm all for President Biden increasing the taxes on the people making over $400,000 a year to 28%.

I was referring more to Leslie's statement of Paul & Linda going to Scotland & their money being locked up. In comparison to those early years, yes he spends more now on whatever.

It really doesn't matter & we have gone way off topic.

Never liked De Niro anyways.  It seems he's nasty everytime he splits and tries to put the woman as the bad person.  I wouldn't cross this guy over toothpast.  I think he's just plain nasty and thinks far too highly of himself.  Sorry, but that is how I feel.

...Has anyone thought to compare how much this woman spends a year compared to other Hollywood wives.  Before cursing her it might be wise to do so.  I hear you can't get a haircut in Hollywood for under $200.  This town is not cheap.  Except maybe in values.
