"Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

RMartinez:
I would be shocked if he did this in concert.
Me too. For mine it just wouldn't work in his setlist context. However, if he did a stripped down Fireman gig, I reckon it would fit in fine. He should wheel out One Of These Days, and do that. Or On The Way.

On The Way is one of my fave Paul tunes!

Only rumors so far for 2015 are Japan and South America. Sorry.

A picture was posted today on Paul's instagram account saying that on this day in 1990 he performed at NEC in Birmingham. That shows his staff have not forgotten the UK, so maybe there will be good news in the coming months?

Well, McCartney LIVES in England, and his offices are based there, so I would hope they have not forgotten about the UK. Still, that has not translated into shows for them in recent years.

Maybe that's a marketing strategy? Something like "let's stay away for a few years, so that when we finally announce a comeback tour of Europe and the UK, the fans will be so desperate that every show will sell out quickly". It's like that old saying: "absence makes the heart grow fonder".

Technically, he is splitting time between the US and England, and MPL has dual headquarters in both London and New York. Strictly guessing, a UK run is likely this year...

I didn't know this was a TECHNICAL conversation! Ok, McCartney LIVES in England part time, so it is unlikely he would FORGET about England. Unless living part time in a place makes you forget about it.

I think McCartney would be pretty aware of the UK. :

Yes he is. That means he chooses to ignore it.
-
By the time he returns to the stage in April it will be almost 2 years since the Out There tour began. I think it's reasonable to assume it will be a new tour and a new setlist, at least as much as it is usually changed. I'm just wondering when the Japanese dates will be announced, as Japan usually gets a little more advance notice than Brazil... february, perhaps?

Fingers crossed! Hopefully there will be many North and South American shows this year!

I'm sure there will be shows in the US during the summer, and I believe half a dozen cities in South America may be candidates. No idea which ones (if any) will actually come true, it's still too far away.

I think we're going to see some surprises this year. A lot of top artists have been touring Australia recently, maybe he'll finally get back there. Europe and the U.K. are certainly due for some Macca.
