Los Angeles / Phoenix / San Francsico - Pre-Sales

Publicity for the scalpers only helps the scalpers, and may mislead people to thinking it's the only way to get tickets. It also may keep people from even trying the General Sale, which will also help the scalpers. Articles like that only aid and abet the scalpers, not the ticket buying public.

I have never seen so many presales for a show. It is like the presale for the 2nd presale of the 3rd presale before they have the final presale of the general sale. What is the point of all this except for a lot of extra hands getting in the pie? There was golden voice, KLOS, the Dodgers, Crowd Source, AMEx and Paul's own site and probably some I missed. What I really would love to see is that all seats in the first fifty rows are set aside for fans , who would have to take a two hour music and written exam about Paul just to qualify for one of those seats, thereby shutting out hangers on, famous people and others who get prime seats because they know someone or just have a lot of money. All of us would then get to enjoy being close to Paul!

Wow. I agree with all of this.

I agree with the 50 rows being set aside for fans but a two hour exam about Paul? hope that was just in jest.

I'm curious about how they allocate VIP package seats. I bought the Silver VIP package with four seats in Section N, Row 2. I've been noticing that people were finding seats in Sections D and E (in the further back rows though) for the $250 price. I'm wondering how I was not able to get a VIP package that was closer, especially since I paid almost double during the presale. I'm not complaining, I'm sure my seats are fine but it's so confusing how it's so random with what you get. I was curious today about the general sale and went to find four VIP seats in Section E, Row 28. I didn't buy them but I saw them offered (if only briefly). After that, they were gone and there was nothing available for Silver VIP. I also looked for general tix and saw Sections A and K available at around $165-250.

Sort of I think there should be some way for REAL FANS to prove that they belong in those seats, not the fat arses of people who just want to be seen. Be it old Fun Club membership, or length of time on this board or something... it just makes me sick when I see primo seats with people in them who dont really care about Paul. I miss the days of getting tickets through Fun Club. They were decent seats and because you actually had to pay to belong to the club, you were pretty much guaranteed to be a Paul fan. I had hoped that the Premium Membership that I had paid for on this site (grrr) would be like that, but we all know how that worked out.

Yes, that seems like a rip off, frankly. I got section A Row 12 for $165. That sounds a lot better than section N and you paid a lot more. I am probably off to the side of the stage a little, but still close. The whole ticket thing is such a scam, we will never understand how it all works because the sellers dont want us to. The whole desperation thing they create--the site being overloaded, the expensive packages, the way you have to make a decision in two seconds to buy the tickets--all of that works to inflate prices and create demand. It is the most consumer unfriendly thing ever, but we all do it because there is no choice. Ugh.

I agree. That desperation thing is ridiculous. There I was thinking that was the best available on the first day of presale! Oh well. I'm hoping that being in Sec. N and being in Row 2 will help my vantage point as I'm quite short and having rows of tall people in front of me will probably hinder my viewing. I'm still happy to go and have floor seats at least!

Oh I agree. It's so frustrating to see how many tickets for SF have ended up in scalpers hands.

The silver VIP seats seemed all sorts of a mess for SF. I tried for silver first last week during the pre-sale and it was giving me all the way across the field from the stage. I gave up tried for the 250 tickets and got two in row 24 towards the center. About 60 rows closer than what they were trying to give me with silver.

Looks like the concert is sold out!
