How does someone get dead-center front row seats?

Grrrrr......and I suppose the people who were upgraded free had a certain look! The Front Row package doesn't sound all that good if the seats are way off to the side. I am hoping my 5th row center seats come through with Stub Hub and Ticket City. With Stub Hub's fees added,I may as well have ordered the Hot Sound Package.
Ah yes the free upgrade, you have to be 18 with double D's

Since this is an election year maybe we should start a petition to make ticket master more transparent by demanding they identify the exact location of the seat you are purchasing. Our complaints seem to be falling on deaf ears. Maybe a petition would get someones attention. I don't think anyone but the customers think its important. AND ask Paul to ban signs down on the floor where they block views the most. Much more exciting than signs: have the spotlight search the crowd & more or less at random (with a pass by Paul's security) pick a person out to come on stage. Whoever is going wild in the spot would be considered into it & willing to come on stage. Way more fun than getting hit in the face by somebodys sign.

My very bad front row experience happened in Lincoln NE. I was told by the venue that my seat in the front row was near the center. It was not. I was about 10 seats past the stage on Rusty's side. Standing up, I could not see Paul or any band member except when Rusty came over to greet those on the side. However, he didn't look down. I watched the concert through the stupid camera on the camera arm while I held back tears and wanted to scream. The middle seats in the front row were empty until the blonde bimbos showed up just before the concert film started. To make things worse, security didn't see the problem in numerous people walking up to me and asking me to step out so they could take photos or videos. Thankfully, Brian Riddle came by and I told him what was happening. He talked to security, came back and told me there would be no more people doing that and there wasn't. Best part of the night was when Brian Riddle went after a fan who was trying to get through the barriers and go back stage. I can still hear him telling her go back to your seat or get arrested. Which do you want? She finally went back to her seat. Never, ever again. No, I didn't have signs blocking me, but I had no view of Paul or the band. I did not pay $2000 for that.
What a drag, was that your first front row purchase for Paul? How many times do they think we will continue to buy. Its business as usual in LA, theres every indication that you bought a great ticket, for MOST its got them expecting way too much & of course its a big disappointment when you get there. You'd think it would occur to them that BUSINESS MIGHT BE EVEN BETTER if they would identify the seat exactly on purchase. If TM would change back to how they use to do it the others would follow.
-
I got one more comment to make: I bet Paul wouldn't buy a ticket without knowing exactly where his seat was. He's more careful with money than that, at least he always has been.

I got the same e-mail. But my eyes got crossed-eyed trying to read it all and figure it out. Will have to wait until I'm more rested to see what I need to do. If someone wants to break in down into simple steps for me I would not mind. LOL

If you bought any tickets on TM between the dates in the class period (1999 - 2013), you will be receiving a discount code for each of those purchases (up to a max of 17). Each code is worth a $2.25 credit on a future TM purchase. Codes are for you only (not transferable to someone else). So when you go to buy tickets, there will be some sort of spot to enter the code and you will save a whopping $2.25 on your purchase. all you have to do is log into your TM account at the link for "member/vouchers" after June 18, and you should see the discount codes listed, if you are eligible. at least that is how I read this.

My other front row experience with Paul was Boulder, CO on May 26, 1993. I paid a scalper $500 for two tix and that was worth every penny. Center, with Linda taking our pictures, Paul and Linda over our heads during Coming Up. Yes, I had signs, but I have never held up signs constantly the way people do now and my signs were hand drawn by non-artist me. Paul noticed them and acknowledged them. The Lincoln experience has totally turned me off on further Paul concerts. Went to Philly last year with a dear friend doing Hot Sound because I didn't want to go out with Lincoln being my last concert.

I received that email. It went to spam so I deleted it. I just don't see myself going to enough concerts in the future to use up the $2.25 credits. My first Hot Sound experience was in St. Louis. While we had fun, we had the signs in front of us and a woman who screeched "Paul" through the entire concert. Many people asked her to stop and she told all of us that she paid $750 and she could do whatever she wanted. : Meanwhile, we couldn't hear when we left.

Thanks. From your answer I guess I can use only one code per transaction and not use them all at once, right?

Up to two Discount Codes can be used per transaction. It also says that once you use them, they disappear from your list.

I'm older now by a few years and I've seen more. I should have gone to security to get her to stop. She was much more of a distraction than the signs in front of us. My friend and I were not the only people who asked her to stop screeching. Many people around us and in her row asked her and she always gave the same answer.

Are seats in center row B held back? I've seen seats in Row C and beyond for sale but haven't seen any for the second and first row center.
Probably. I have never heard of any of us boardies getting 2nd row center. I got 3rd row center in Atlanta in 2014.
Lucky you. Met a fan who has some money, and he and his other buddies seem to be able to get those seats!

I've never seen Macca (last time he was out here was 2 years before I was born) but I've been thinking a lot about tickets recently. I know the front row is a bit away from the stage but I still reckon I'd rather be 3rd row, centre. Like at the theatre or the cinema, you're not craning your neck so much to see them. Then I also think, would I really like to be centre? Maybe I'd be better off being on the right hand aisle so I've got a better view of him when he's on the piano?

Unless you are positive the seats you are getting are right next to the center section, you are throwing $2100 per ticket away. Best to pay $1600 for 3rd or 4th row center.

Oh, yes, certainly. I was still talking about 3rd row to the side. Even then, I doubt I could ever scrounge the money for Hot Sound. Particularly given my most likely option to see him is hop on a plane somewhere and get one of the $250 tickets.

My center 3rd & 4th row seats had a fine view of him on the piano. Believe me, you'd rather be center if possible, or not too far off. Some friends who were on the sides in maybe 7th row had their view blocked by the damn camera boom!
