Prices are higher than in the U.S., with the exception of VIP, which is about one third less.
The VIP was nearly $1,000 earlier today, it will be around $1,100 on Friday. But that's just for the ticket in that seat: no soundcheck, early entry, food or bag of goodies. Is it like that in the US as well?
Don't think so; the only $1,000US and over VIP tickets that are sold that I know of in the US are the Hot Sound and Front Row soundcheck packages. The Gold and Silver tickets are less than $1,000 but more than face value, and come with merchandise and a good seat but no soundcheck. I haven't heard of any tickets called VIP at that price that are just for the seat only. Congratulations on getting a ticket today! I wish I had a Paul concert to look forward to!

I guess that's because Paul's fee is so high (3 million dollars, apparently) that 10,000 seats are not enough to cover it with regular prices, so the promoters have to over-charge the fans.

I have two small questions, people that bought Diamante VIP on the pre sale (not the Hot Sound package) will they be seated on rows 13, 14, etc.? Only people with Hot Sound package will get to seat on the first rows?
-
I believe the first 5 or 6 rows belong to "Diamante VIP", and from row 6 or 7 beings "Diamante", perhaps as far as row 12 or 15? At the same time, some rows are called by letters, not numbers. For example, I'll be in "Diamante" (not VIP) row F... but I'm not sure where exactly it will be.

How much was the range of prices for Chile? (not talking about VIP packages)

From USD 70 to USD 870... plus 10% charge on Paul's website. Tomorrow the charge will be 15%. It was a nightmare to get my tickets, some seatings suddenly appear and then disappear but minutes after they appear again... I finally could make it and I'm glad you guys too... so see you at the show! By the way, did anyone get those super expensive tickets with soundcheck before? is it worth? how many songs does he play? I mean for 5 songs isn't worth to me... I'm still thinking that chance since he will maybe not come again

Thanks. Paul's soundcheck last 45 mins to 1 hour, many songs NOT on the concert set list

You're welcome. Another one... I'm pretty sure this weekend a 2nd concert will be announced for Santiago, so how about Paul playing 2 times in the same city? does he change the set? Still thinking on that soundcheck

One or two songs only, on this last tour, maybe he will change more than 2 in Santiago for the 2nd show, but in Japan, he only changed 2/3 songs during 3 Tokyo shows

Very bad sale for an Arena show for 10,000 plus peple. Here in Mexico we sell out 55,000 in 8 minutes, Brazil sells out stadiums within hours too. This is WHY, Paul is playing Arena in Chile instead of Big Stadium. Poor sales last time, poor sales now (even if he sells out this Arena show by the end of the day)

General sale is available now for Santiago. I was looking at the available seats (now you can actually choose yours) and I reached the following conclusion, which also applies to Lima: The pre-sale seats (all sectors in the field) are not in the center area, they are located at the sides. Once the general sale is open, then the center seats are available. I guess they do that so that the less interesting seats (far left and far right) sell out during the pre-sale, and then the center seats will also sell out during the general sale. When you buy seats during the pre-sale, you can't choose exactly where you will be, so you have to accept whatever they give you. If you realized you were being assigned "side seats", you would not buy anything during the pre-sale: you would wait for the general sale, when you would actually be able to choose the exact seat you want at the center or at the sides, fully aware of your choices.
-
Here is what the seating plan from the general sale looks like right now, in case anyone is curious: When you click on each sector, you can choose exactly which seat you want, and you can see where it is. And here is the seating plan that was provided during the pre-sale: You were unable to choose a seat. In fact, looking at that image it's not possible to see where the seat you bought actually is. Don't get me wrong: I am happy that Paul is returning to Chile and Peru, and I am also happy that I was able to buy tickets. However, even though I am in "Row F" in Santiago and "Row 2" in Lima, I now realize that my seats are located at the far right side of the stage, in front of the huge screen. Those tickets were very expensive and I thought that I would get the best seats during the pre-sale, but now I see that those buying tickets during the general sale are allowed to choose better seats than mine.

Hi! I'm fine now, finally I got my ticket, wasn't easy, but was better that I couldn't purchase in pre sale or one VIP package, cause if I did it, I'd never get one like I get now, in row B seat 15, at the center and second row, so it was a ROUGH RIDE TO HEAVEN...but I'll be OUT THERE!!!

Same here! I tried to get two Dinamante VIP on pre sale but I only had the chance to get them in separated seats. On friday I could get them together. Now I'm going for the 2nd show, Platea Alta this time... I cannot afford those prices twice.
-
I got a platea baja in pre-sale (I don't even know where my seat is because Cprwdsurge is absolute crap) and I will try to get a better ticket for the second show tomorrow.
