Makes sense Paul will do induction of the "Foo Fighters" due to his relationship with David Grohl over the years.  Not sure what the connection is for Swift to induct  Carol King but  she is talented young lady so why not.

Perhaps the reason is because Carol King presented Taylor with the Artist of Decade award at the 2019 American Music Awards and also to pass the torch between generations: Carol (79) and Taylor (31)

Thanks for posting the great pictures of Paul and Dave from last night's hall of fame induction in Cleveland.  What a great surprise at the end to hear them sing "Get Back" together! They both seemed to be enjoying themselves and we loved having them here in person!
