Shows to binge

Right now I'm watching "The Flight Attendant" (Kaley Cuoco from "The Big Bang Theory") on HBO MAX. Really good!
-
Is it a comedy or a drama? Nice to see her do well outside of "Big Bang Theory". I just got HBO Max so will check it out soon.

Mostly (99%) a drama but with some funny bits. Watch the trailer - I don't want to give anything away.

I watched the first episode and really liked it !! We got winter storm coming tomorrow so I can probably do a little "binge" watching. Got a kick out of seeing Rosie Perez as one of the other flight attendants, remember seeing her for the first time in movie "White Men Can't Jump".

I have watched all 8 episodes! And it is coming back this year (TBA) for season 2! Don't worry - no "cliffhanger" in season 1. The ending does allow for another season though.

For those with Amazon Prime, I watched season 1 of "The Wheel Of Time." There will be a season 2 as well.
For Sci-Fi fans, all 6 seasons of "The Expanse" are also on Amazon Prime Video. I just watched the last episode of season 6. I think it used to be on the SyFy channel or something and I watched previous seasons on there.

Got two more episodes watched over the weekend, I was busy with household stuff and NFL football -lol. Really good so far and looking forward to the rest of the episodes. Love Cassie's lawyer .

Yeah, she's great!
Right now I'm bingeing Truth Seekers (8 episodes, about 30 minutes each) It is a British comedy starring Nick Frost and Simon Pegg (from the movie Shaun of the Dead) It's on Amazon Prime Video. Nick's character Gus works for a cable/wi-fi company and gets this black guy whose name is Elton John as his partner/trainee. Simon plays his boss Dave. Gus is a paranormal investigator/YouTuber on the side. Hijinx ensue!

I am finished with episode 5 and with my wife working tonight I might finish up the rest of the season. Another one of my favorite characters is Max the computer hacker -lol. I was bummed he got hit by car and hope he lives, guess I will find out in episode 6. I don't know why but I have a "gut" feeling that guy Cassie sleeps with a couple of times after getting drunk is going to be involved in all this stuff eventually.
-
Finished the first season of "The Flight Attendant" a few minutes ago and once again really enjoyed it and thanks for the "heads up" Nancy. I was correct about my "gut" feeling on that guy she got drunk with a couple of times. He just seemed a little to persistent in getting together with her and that "accidental" meeting made me wonder. Great job by Kaley Cuoco breaking out from "The Big Bang Theory" and showing she can do more than be just "Penny". Glad they will have another season but curious as to what direction it would go in. I would assume part of it would be her trying to come to grips with her alcohol problem. Any idea when Season Two will come out?

I didn't want to say anything, but you were spot on about that guy!
SPOILERS AHEAD..........
Yeah, remember at the end she opened up the liquor drawer on the plane and then closed it? She had also gotten rid of all the bottles she stole (left them lined up on that wall) I think she has quit drinking and will have to struggle staying sober + the other flight attendant (the gay guy) is really a CIA agent so that is going to play into season 2 as well. All I know is season 2 is coming out in 2022 sometime. Will let you know when I hear the date.
Do you have Amazon Prime Video?

Yes, please keep me updated. I think they will have Cassie be one of those "girls" who winds up in the wrong place at the wrong time kind of character. I agree with the CIA agent being part of the story line and maybe he drags Cassie into one of his situations. It would be unrealistic if they had Cassie just completely turn it around with her alcohol issues so I think she will try but struggle with it.
Yes, we do have Amazon Prime Video but have not used it often.

Currently watching Rig45 on dvd. Watched three episodes last night and will finish off the remaining three episodes this evening.

You should check out Prime Video - I've listed several shows on here that I've watched or am currently watching.
Do you get Netflix? Lots of great stuff on there like Ricky Gervais in After Life (3 seasons, each episode 1/2 hour) It is a drama but with lots of funny bits - he plays a widower who is having a hard time getting over the death of his wife. He says and does whatever he wants to which is hysterical. Of course it's filmed in the U.K. and has lots of great British comedy acting in it.

We have Netflix, Prime, Disney plus and recently got HBO Max. My wife is into British shows like "Granchester", "Father Brown", Endeavour" and of course "The Great British Bake Off" . She is not a big British comedy fan although she did enjoy parts of "Monty Python" many years ago -lol

^ I love British comedy! There is one with Martin Freeman called Breeders that was on FX in 2020 March through Apr. and in 2021 March through May. It's Comedy/Drama. Not sure if there will be a 3rd season.

Your wife would like Bridgerton on Netflix (2nd season coming Mar. 25th), The Crown on Netflix (5th season starting next Nov.) Around the World in 80 Days on PBS now, starring David Tennant of Doctor Who, Sanditon on PBS (2nd season starts Mar. 20th) and The Gilded Age (starts Jan. 24th on HBO)

The latest show I binge watched was Ozark. Disappointed that they divided up the last season in two parts. I read that part 2 should be out by May. I suspect it will have a Bonnie & Clyde ending. Just a guess. If you know how it ends, pls don't post it, lol. I'm simply guessing. I like all of the actors. Well cast, imo. It's dark, but there are some funny or ironic parts, too.
Before that I binge watched After Life. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Gervais's humor and acting. Great show.
-
^ Yes, agree! I loved After Life!
-
After Life is an easy show to binge. The episodes go quick and there are 6 per season. It is one of those shows that I took a chance on while surfing some Netflix descriptions. The next thing you know, I finished the season, then the next season.
it made good comedy because it had its bummer of dark and sad with some humor that fits. -
I'm binge-watching Condor on the EPIX app (you have to pay for EPIX via your TV provider to get it) I'm in the middle of the 2nd season (each season has 10 episodes about 45 minutes each) It's based on the movie "3 Days Of The Condor" (which was based on the book "Six Days Of The Condor") All about CIA espionage. Great cast - the main guy is Max Irons, Jeremy Irons' son. He plays an American and you'd never know in real life he has an English accent.
