2022 "Got Back" European/UK tour
-
Following the announcement of the Got Back North American tour, when do you think we'll see a Got Back EU/UK tour?
Did anyone hear any rumors regarding more tour dates?
-
If any follow-up countries are announced it will probably be around the time the U.S. tour begins.
-
Paul was supposed to play Glastonbury (and Euro concerts) in 2020, so perhaps he'll do it this year?
The last US show is scheduled to happen the week before Glastonbury, so the US tour could be seen as a warm-up for it plus European shows, followed by the rumored July concerts in the US.
-
Absolutely, and the American tour does not seem incompatible with a show in Glastonbury on June 25 (at the top of the poster on the 24th is Billie Eilish, and rumors say that it is Kendrick Lamar on the 26th).
Festival organizer Emily Eavis said the poster would be unveiled in March.
I keep my fingers firmly crossed.

I don't really see a European tour happening this summer, unfortunately. More and more acts are already postponing their planned tours to 2023 due to the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19 restrictions.
It's much easier to tour just one country like the U.S. (notice how there aren't even any Canadian dates planned) than several states who each have their own regulations.
Maybe he'll do Glasto as a stand-alone gig or some UK dates, but a tour of continental Europe doesn't seem likely to me at this point.
-
Like I put in other thread will wait and see if Paul does announce some UK dates. My guess if he does they would be in autumn/winter time. Though not sure if his voice will still hold up now being in his 80th year.
-
I'm looking forward to the first videos of his new Live. I'd like to see how it sounded. I'm afraid he can't handle a long tour. But then he often surprised us. Although I still wonder how long Mr. McCartney will slip through the cracks. At some point age will catch up with him.
-
So as the COVID restrictions in Europe are being lifted, and now when Glastonbury is (basically) confirmed - it makes sense we'll have some other UK + EU dates around June. If he is already touring in the area (Glastonbury) it doesn't seem likely he will skip Europe. It's not that he can't sell the shows there.
What do you think?
-
I think there will be a few UK / European shows in the June - July timeframe to coincide with Glastonbury show.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he uses the publicity around Glastonbury to annouce some U.K / Europe shows, which will be announced just after the festival and scheduled for later in the year. Oct/Nov/Dec for example.
I think he'll take July and August off after the U.S tour and Glastonbury are done with.
Just a guess though!

Does anyone know anything about possible dates to Europe? Spain specifically.
¿Alguien sabe algo acerca de posibles fechas a Europa? España especificamente.
Thank you!/ ¡muchas gracias!

He's not going to the UK just to play 1 show. There WILL be a small euro tour.

That's what I think as well. The question is when it'll be announced. Glastonbury date is getting closer
-
I just heard that the Stones are touring Europe this summer....one of the dates is Liverpool. This may entice Paul to play there as well.

I hope so. But the thing with Glastonbury is that he doesn't have to build his own stage. With a big stage to tour from country to country, it would make sense to have at least 10-15 dates. FIngers crossed!

Hi! Any news about european or south american tour? I want to know how do you think about the next step of "Got Back" tour
-
It definitely won't be Asia because there are still so many Covid restrictions in that part of the world. Europe looks possible. I guess South America too. Bring it on!
-
Following the start of the new American tour next week, we can't expect any UK/EU announcment before the end of it. Which means no Europe shows until at least September

Perhaps a few shows in November/December as he's done in previous EU/UK tours?

Yes sounds possible. But I'm not optimistic for any EU/UK prior September unfortunately
