Ballroom Dancing would work well in the encore. I've a feeling his new tour will add that one and Girls School
Is this a test-run for April Fool's Day next year?
Hmm... Now that you mention it, no!! It's going to be hard to top the false tour announcement... Might have to think of something bigger... But not too bad that I'll get booted from the board!

You're in my circle of trust, Audi.

It just needs a few changes at the start and in the encore: Eight days a week Save us Jet Listen to what the man said Can't Buy me love Hi Hi Hi I Saw her standing there
If I'm blessed with the chance(s) to see him again this summer, I'd be content with this in those portions of the show. I wouldn't mind a new opener, but if I have to hear one repeated...it might as well be this one. That encore is killer...I've never heard Can't Buy Me Love, haven't heard Saw Her STanding There since 2011, and Hi HI Hi is still pretty fresh and rockin'!
Same with me with CBML, Where as Jet and LTWTMS have come in and out All my loving has stayed solid for 4-5 yrs, so a few minor changes could be done so easily. Much prefer ISHST instead of Get back. Only 4 week till I see him in London, are u going for Philadelphia tickets?
Yeah, maybe Charlottesville too as it seems that will be announced in the next few days...we'll see. The Out There tour hasn't hit either of these cities, so I'm not expecting any great surprises.
Yes if they havent had the tour stop by before then why change it. Am actually coming to USA in early June but its while Paul is still touring Europe, maybe another time to experience a USA macca show!

So I stumbled upon this:
(Apart from noticing they already starting to play this slow downed version of 'Jet' in February). The introduction! He's got a stack full of these stories, why doesn't he ever tell those during non-special gigs :lol Always so easily offbeat during performances like this, baffling why that can't be the case elsewhere. -

Oh! Well, it isn't about it being a completely new story - it's a common fact anyway - more that he, if he wants, can throw in whatever story he wants, he's got so many of them. But as you are saying he apparently does that sometimes after all.

Very curious about the Budokan setlist. The concert should be filmed and broadcast in Full HD, just like that 2013 Tokyo Dome TV special.

I have a feeling, similar to the Candlestick show last year, they'll add something special to the current set list for the Budokan show (ie: Long Tall Sally or possibly She's A Woman).
-
I hope it's "She's A Woman" and that it will be kept for the upcoming shows as well.

With 'Another Girl' added, McCartney sang every of his Beatles lead vocal songs from 1965, 1966 and 1967 live. (With the exception of 'When I'm Sixty-Four', on which he only accompanied a fan on bass for one verse).

Quite a different setlist so far: first song was "Can't Buy Me Love" and not too long afterwards he sang "One After 909".
Opening with "Can't Buy Me Love" is a good move, better than most of his opening Beatle songs IMO. "Another Girl" was always one of my favorites and I hope he keeps it in regular setlist for everyone. I always want Mr. McCartney to add more solo songs but wish he would have done something else besides "Dance Tonight" which he has done on other tours. This would have been a great time to try something like "Take It Away" or "That Was Me". As one of his biggest setlist critics, I will give Mr. McCartney credit for shaking it up a little bit for this show.
This, and it proves why we will never see something like that. Without coming across as dramatic, I gave up on pipe dreams like that when he did the special, fan-only, exclusive, intimate, 2007 venue gigs and... we got nothing. Since then I knew: this was the chance, there is no way he's gonna surprise us with deeper solo cuts during regular tours. And indeed, he never did. Only the additions in 2010 the next year came close. And sure, the Wings songs in 2011 and 2013, but those were simply long overdue, no true rarities. It's just never going to happen.

I've been waiting on something special for us solo-Macca fans since he got back on the road in '02. Originally, I wanted a full-scale, all-solo tour. Then I settled for a one-off concert that could be recorded. Now, I'm just exhausted.

Dude! He did One After 909 and Another Girl! It's only a matter of time before he does What You're Doing!

Not quite - he did do "That Was Me" and "House of Wax" at the Electric Proms show in 2007...
-
' Another Girl' sounds great via the Youtube clip, hoping this stays for London .

And "Tell Me What You See".

Yeah, a brand new song at the time, he does that all the time. I'm talking about getting deep cuts of the solo catalogue, no songs purely there for promotion reasons. (They are always dropped after the album cycle ends.)

I started to make the same point, but I figured that I might've taken their point out of context or something. Yes, the issue is not Macca performing solo songs when he's plugging a record: It's about celebrating his entire solo-catalogue. At this point, the list is very short of solo songs that McCartney has performed after their initial promotion: -Fine Line (in Quebec 200 -Dance Tonight (Budakon 2015) -Great Day (charity event in 2003) -Cosmically Conscious (charity event in 2009) What am I forgetting?
