Set List critique
-
It has happened that I have discovered songs with live version. An example for my part, is "That's the Way It Goes" with Joe Brown on "Concert for George". I never noticed this song on "Gone Troppo" until I heard this version. I started to think of it as a great song, besides being one of my favorites on the tribute to Harrison.

Still digging these live performances of "Temporary Secretary," kiddies. For those fans who remain befuddled by this bold set-list addition: If you can appreciate live versions of Hot Chip's "Over & Over," then Macca and his band blazing through "TS" shouldn't be such a head-scratcher. Still hoping for more surprises in the future.
I just don't like the song!
TS never was a favorite of mine from McCartney II either, but I really think it works "live". Can't wait to hear it in Philly!!
I'm definitely excited to hear something new, there's always a thrill in that no matter what. I also forgot to include "Hope For The Future" on that little list of songs I haven't heard...I much prefer that to "Temporary Secretary"!
Well, get a load of this: I never cared for "Too Many People" until McCartney started performing it in concert in 2005. I never cared for "1985" until McCartney started performing it in concert in 2010. I never cared for "Mrs. Vandebilt" until McCartney started performing it in concert in 2008. They have all since become steadfast favorites. Live performances do make a difference.
Then you haven't been listening... Sometimes it rotten being younger. You missed a great era.

I saw many people dancing to the rhythm of Temporary Secretary at each concert I went to. Many of those folks had probably never listened to that song before but were still enjoying it a lot, so that means it really works well live. The images shown on the screens were quite cool as well.
Sure they weren't busting for a pee?

I'll grant ya' that. Hell, these days, I'll grant anything that characterizes me as "younger."

Well this is mostly a wish list. But I could live without those. I have seen him eight times, so for ME, this would be a very cool concert.

I couldn't concentrate enough to make a setlist So I just went chronologically and made a list of twenty songs I've never heard him play after 7 concerts (soon to be 9) that are all incredibly reasonable and realistic choices for him to perform at any given moment...so listen up, birthday boy! Btw, I only did Beatles and Wings...there's so many solo songs I'd like to hear and it will simply nevre happen, so I didn't waste the energy... 1. She?s a Woman 2. You Won?t See Me 3. Here, There, and Everywhere 4. Good Day Sunshine 5. For No One 6. Penny Lane 7. Two of Us 8. Every Night 9. Too Many People 10.Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey 11.The Back Seat of My Car 12.Helen Wheels 13.She?s My Baby 14.Silly Love Songs 15.Warm and Beautiful 16.Mull of Kintyre 17.I?ve Had Enough 18.With a Little Luck 19.Getting Closer 20.Coming Up

I love seeing all the fan favorites that everyone sticks into their own set, vry intriguing!

Ok I will bite. This set list misses out all the regular songs and is based on songs he has either never played live, hasn't played live in the last ten years or has only played rarely. I appreciate that people who are at their first ever McCartney concert will want to hear yesterday hey Jude and let it be etc. But this set list is for the fans who have been to many concerts and have lost count of how many times we have heard them. This could be a set list for a one off concert just for the hard-core fans. I wrote this list counted 38 songs then realised I had not included any Beatles tracks. Oops oh well I would love to see this show. Rockestra Big barn bed Coming up Figure of eight Silly love songs About you The world tonight My brave face No more lonely nights Beautiful night C'mon people Wanderlust Oo you No values Spies like us Stranglehold Angry Run devil run One of these days Great day Put it there Rainclouds Hope of deliverance Songs we were singing Blue bird Tug of war Pipes of peace House of wax Wildlife Oh woman oh why The mess Old Siam sir Girls school Beware my love So glad to see you here Encore Back seat of my car Cut me some slack Soily Phew what a concert that would be so many great songs that we have not heard live in years if ever. Edit as a one off show he could have a full orchestra and horn section for the songs that need such a thing

^^ "oops oh well"
