Out There Tour Merch

I've noticed it as well. $40 is about average. Thinking back to the concert shirts I've bought in the past year... -Ringo Starr: $25 -Billy Joel: $40 -Elton John: $40 -Jeff Beck/Brian Wilson: $30 -The Beach Boys: $20 -Paul McCartney: $40 Technically if you average them it comes to $32...
The shirts at the Sting/Paul Simon concert I went to in Feb. were $40 as well. Good to see the price of Ringo's shirts. I'm seeing him for the first time next Sunday and plan to get a t-shirt.

Wow, I see so many new goodies I want! I got quite a bit of merch last year though, including a hoodie, a couple of shirts, a keychain and program. Unfortunately I recently became unemployed so cannot afford much this time around, but will hopefully be able to get a shirt, keychain, new program and that 'twilight' poster. I will actually have a poster tube with me that I'll be using to carry my sign in. Hopefully some of the other items will still be available later on...

I wish there were more colors for the shirts.

Maybe tonight in Albany there will be some different stuff.

Sadly the quality of the t-shirts doesn't justify the price to me and the programs are too expensive also. Will settle on the concert and VIP goodies and be done.
Interesting to see your comment about the quality of the t-shirts. I have about 7 shirts purchased from 2010 to 2013 and mine are all still in great shape even after wearing/washing them tons of times. Have you had bad luck with some of yours?
I've had mixed qualities. I bought two shirts in '09. One looks brand new, the other I don't even wear anymore because the decal would probably disintegrate. The same scenario for the two shirts I bought in 2010. 2011 & 2012 I slimmed down to one shirt per year, those are both VERY thin shirts, but the decals have held. In 2013 I got back to two shirts and they're probably the best two I've bought so far. I find it interesting also that in 2009 the shirts were $30, then in 2010 they jumped to $40 and have maintained. The quality hasn't changed $10 worth in my opinion, so is this just fan exploitation? :
IMO, the shirts are very thin. That is my biggest complaint. A friend has made some for a group of us and they are organic cotton and cost $20 shipped. Much cooler designs also. I buy hers or none these days. I also do not like black shirts because I have a cat that sheds all over them. Don't really care for white either because they are so thin. I just go right past the merchandise stand.

I remember getting a t-shirt from Paul's online store and thinking it was very thin indeed, while others had better quality. I also received a New Kids On The Block t-shirt once by mistake, instead of the McCartney t-shirt that I had ordered.

I just tried to order 9 items from the new merch selection and they quoted me $107 shipping because I'm outside the US! I guess I'll wait for the shows, there is no way I'm paying that!

Have you tried reducing the number of items?

And what did you do with that shirt? Did you send it back or did they send you the one you ordered?

I gave it away and they sent me the right one.

That was the best solution!

I thought there was a link you click on to indicate if you're in the UK or U.S. Then the merch would be shipped from that country. Oh, I just checked and it's only to indicate which currency you are paying in. Still, $107 shipping is insane!

Did anybody take pictures of the merchandise in Albany?

Forum member "DrivinFan" took this nice picture. Thanks! http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j51/5th-beatle/2014Merch_zpsb1dfbd13.jpg

I bought the new white shirt with the nine photos of Wings-Era Paul in squares with the union jack and the cities on the back, correct cities as well, I was impressed. Still $40 as expected....I also bought the new plastic keychain which was a new design despite being the same tour. It had the print from his "Let Me Roll It" guitar. Based on the photo shown here before the US Tour kicked off, everything was the same except I did not see the pack of pinbacks, not that I was paying $20 for them anyway : I love the throw blanket, but who is going to a $100+ concert, and paying an $85 blanket to carry with them for the next four hours. Just seems like a strange idea....the lunchboxes looked pretty cheap, I would've gotten one of them if it was good quality.

So... I don't suppose there were any extra.... unannounced dates on the shirts. Was Greensboro on the shirts?

I received a Paul t-shirt with the New Kids on the Block dates on the back, Paul on front. Was not happy. They did send new one. I do find the shop's shipping to be very high.

Not sure if it was on the shirts...bought one that just had Albany on the back, however the program did also include the newly announced Greensboro, NC date.
