OK, friends...confession time: Paul sounded great! Unfortunately, Rod and I made the mistake of arriving way too early...the heat, combined with walking over 20 miles, forced us to leave the concert early. We were absolutely exhausted. I got terribly sunburned, and I developed a rash...awful. Also, Rod and I were seemingly the only people there NOT on some sort of drug. I will never do Bonnaroo again (sober.) We left after "Another Day." So, other than "Hi Hi Hi," I got to see the songs I wanted to see most. I am DEFINITELY going to try and see Paul during the fall leg of the tour, when the new album is released...somewhere, hopefully.
Oh Audi, At least you saw the songs you wanted to see. I won't do festivals,I know I couldn't take it ! But at least you tried !
Tried and failed. Epic fail. We thought about driving back tonight to catch Billy Idol and, possibly, James McCartney this afternoon...but I can barely walk right now.
yeah, but Paul may join James onstage...ya think? not to make you feel worse or anything.

if anyone knows a place to either download or re-watch the live stream can you please PM me, from Vancouver and wasn't allowed to watch.
Or just post it here. We only got to see the 1st hour.
Did the stream end after the first hour?
Yes, Paul lasted only an hour. Then they showed other stages.

I'd considered hanging out near the veggie vendors near James' stage -- just in case Paul got a bit peckish.

I have a strong feeling that there's going to be a DVD of this show.
You and your strong feelings! Hope this one it more accurate than your last "Paul is going to play his new album 'Out There' and surprise us all with a release" Looks like a great show for a DVD!
My hunches are always wrong; I know. In this case, that's fine with me, because I think his next DVD needs to include songs from the new album -- and all those fab Wings/solo rarities from the past two tours.
so how was it for you ? thought of you while watching the stream stayed up late to see Jim James - Superjames w/dj Jazzy Jeff Wu Tang freakin brilliant!!!

Jim James' set was fantastic! Charismatic performer. Great songs.

ouch Audi, sorry about the sunburn! Outside concerts, especially in the Mid South summer weather, and I do not mix well. Have been to a couple of concerts here at the 'Live at the Garden' concert series during the summer and swore never again. Hope you get to feeling better!

We got there around 11:45 a.m. Throughout the course of the day, a couple of trips to my SUV to re-group just didn't cut it. Although I enjoyed Jim James' set, as well as the moment when somebody threw drugs on DIIV's stage, per the singer's request (although ALL their songs sound the same!), plus On An On's cool pre-Macca set ... and all the shirtless guys... ...that was, still, tooooooo much time to kill while waiting on the real reason why I spent $600 for tix.

I'd love a bit of a compilation DVD, there has been so much great stuff played over the last few years but unfortunately not in the same show. It would seem a real shame to have no document of Venus & Mars, Letting Go, Come and Get It, The Night Before, The Word, Bluebird, Ram On etc etc
Scan You Tube for decent audience clips string em together the way you want onto a DVD. Bewdiful... I'm gonna do a DVD of his Wings only stuff...for home personal use only, of course.

Hi everyone! I haven't posted since I'm still here on the farm and my phone keeps dying but just wanted to share that I was front row rail!! Also he answered my sign by saying, "Hi Hope!" Also the walrus he sang to was mine! My brother threw it!! I would gladly share pics if anyone wants but I'm unsure of how to do that on here with my iphone. If anyone wants me to post some please let me know how to do so. Thanks!
