Not offended, just totally confused by your explanation. Never mind, it’s not important. Glad I could help.
@NJR It is true that it is only very clear.
But the main thing is that everything is back in order.
Anyway I'm very happy to talk with you. -

I don't know if this has ever happened to anyone. But since two days I have problems of display. In dark mode I have letters that are black on a gray background when they should be white on a gray background. I tried to refresh the page but nothing changes.
Can someone please help me?
ThanksHave you gone into your settings and changed the background? I’m back white background with black letters.
You have to click on your avatar pic (top right) and go into settings and select a different SKIN then click SAVE at the bottom. I’m using READABLE.LittleWillow must know where to go since she changed it to black.
Huh? How do you know? The last thing she said was her background was gray.
Whatever color she had it must have been changed from the beginning since the standard was white.

I so wish this problem of white writing turning black on a dark background as soon as I refresh the page was fixed. I can't stand white backgrounds. It hurts my eyes so much. Only the superhero setting goes when it screws up. Because I can pretty much read the black writing on the blue background. But it's very tiring. I beg you to do something.

I agree! I wish they'd have some darker backgrounds (that work) with light text.

Did you try choosing Darkly? It is black with white letters.
P.S. I don’t understand why you keep talking about “refreshing the page.” That shouldn’t be necessary. -

Okay, I understand now. So what setting do you have it on now?
I’ve been staying with the white background and black letters since they are dark enough now for me to easily read. -

I’ve been staying with the white background and black letters since they are dark enough now for me to easily read.@NJR I'm in superhero mode. This allows me to have a dark background even though the writing has gone black. I can read but it's tiring. I have tried several white backgrounds but I can't stand any of them. It blows my eyes out.

I tried that one too. But I am back to white. I agree that it's too bright for the eyes.

If the white is too bright, can’t you turn the brightness down on your device? -

If the white is too bright, can’t you turn the brightness down on your device? But then I'd have to adjust it for every page you go on. They should be able to correct the darn colors.

What? On any iPad, cellphone or computer you can adjust the brightness and it stays at that brightness unless you change it!
You never said if you are using a white background - that is what I’m using with black letters and the brightness is turned down to less than half, which is perfect. -

I have a degree of photophobia too ever since I had LASIX done on my eyes 14 years ago. It was worth it though! (Actually I’ve never liked a lot of light - my bedroom is pitch black when I sleep!)

All of my other pages that I frequent, no matter the color, would be darker too if I turned down the brightness. Thus I'd have to change back.

@NJR That's one thing we have in common.
On the other hand, I have a very dim night light. It's just so I don't feel like I'm losing my sight. Because, if I don't have a little landmark with my eyes in the dark. I panic. I also have a very dark curtain. So the morning light doesn't blind me. -

Change back what to what? I’m sorry, but you are very confusing to me at times. It’s just the way you word things. Maybe my mom’s dementia is wearing off on me!

@njr Not that important.
