Mr McCartney's Hofner Bass ( miniature)

Hopefully this is the right place for my subject matter. This morning I went to the Helter Skelter Cafe in St Johns Wood, London. They had a model of Mr McCartneys Hofner Bass. I couldn't resist it, now it's on my computer desk. I have included some photos. My dear friend Littlewillow has copies of them. As they are too big to upload, I'm hoping she can work her magic and upload them for me. Watch this space ( I hope

@wandy And did you know that little replica is of his 1961 Hofner bass that was stolen after the Let It Be movie wrapped Jan. 31, 1969?

@njr I think you are confusing 2 stories here. His original 1961 Hofner, was stolen from Abbey Road Studios, in 1963. Never to be found. Then he got another one. This second bass was used on the rooftop concert, in Savile Row. Now here is a second story that causes, err shall we say, heated discussion amongst fans. ( apparently) sellotaped to that bass, is the "set list" of the songs the Beatles played on the roof of Apple, in 1969. However, other fans say its NOT the set list of the songs played on the Apple Rooftop in 1969, but instead its the set list of the songs the Beatles played in their final concert at the Candlestick Park stadium, Aug, 29th 1966. I argued with a fan about this. I said it's the set list from 1969. She said, no its not, it's from the Candlestick Park Stadium set list 1966, and she provided a link saying as much. But then I produced a link saying the set list was from the Apple Rooftop concert 1969. So Mr McCartney if you are reading this, Please Please Me, and settle this err, discussion lol!!!

@wandy No, I know my history. Don’t have time to prove it now. He only had 2 Hofners and the 1961 one he played during the Get Back movie (not on the roof - he used the 1963 one there) After filming wrapped, the 1961 disappeared. This has been well documented in at least 2 books, one of which is Beatle Gear by Andy Babiuk. The set list was from 1966 on his 1963 Hofner. Also documented in Beatle Gear. Not sure exactly when Paul removed it, but Andy has clear pics of it on the bass.
