Oh, puleeze! Give me a break! Leonard Whiting turned 17 during the filming of that movie - I was a huge fan and saw the movie twice one day. They took the entire 9th grade class to see it in 1969 (I was 14) The bedroom scene was tastefully done imho.

Can you imagine a 25/26 year old Paul in bed with a 15 year old Olivia Hussey?!! The age-appropriate Leonard Whiting was fine. (And Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet WERE teenagers!)

No, Olivia Hussey was 15 when they started filming it. She turned 16, then 17 during filming and Leonard Whiting turned 17.
