@njr ok, thanks. Now my screen says there are 9 unread massages. I check and there are none!! I'm a real nowhere man living in this nowhere land, making all my nowhere plans for nobody!!
Just because it says none doesn’t mean you can’t check each forum and look for familiar threads and see what messages have been posted since you last visited! This could all be solved if you were not on a bloody mobile phone. ️

@njr Soz. I get busy doing other things 🥹
You are obviously able to see our new posts. Are you retired I assume since you’re my age? Just please take the time when you can and answer my questions. Thank you.

@wandy I told Ladyleslie the dvd was created using the British DVD system PAL SECAM, and that for her to play it she would need to either have an "all region" DVD Player, or take it to a shop to have it converted to the USA system, NTSC. She said no need to take it to a shop, and that she had a friend who would convert it for her. Now it seems she can't ️ There is nothing I can do from here about it. She either has to take it to a computer shop, or take it to some kind of photo/chemist store that does conversions. Or download some kind of software, into her computer and do it herself, if she clever in that way. I'm not. Or buy herself an "all region" DVD Player. Or she can't play it AT ALL️

@wandy (when you have time) Start at the top of this thread and scroll down and open up all the replies to your posts and reread them. I think you are missing seeing a couple/few posts.

@njr Lol!! Yes sir!! Sorry. Sir!!! Permission to speak sir!! I cannot revolve my day around Maccaboard, as fun as it is. I have other things to do. I'm currently trying to make another history film about London, and its very time consuming, and complicated. Plus I have a 90 Yr old mum that I can't leave alone for too long. On top of that, I do the shopping washing and other bits and pieces that need doing around the house. Plus my knowledge and expertise in the computer tech department is very very limited. In fact it makes my head spin. Me️🤪. It's very nice of you and the lovely Blueueeueue Willow to help me but these things take time. All I need is time labydabbydah. All I need is time. Time. Time is all I need.

@wandy Sorry, it’s just that you ask for help but don’t respond when I try to help. I give up. ️
I am in the same situation as you. 92 year old mom I have to check on and bring her stuff about twice a week and I do all my cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, etc. Thank goodness for being retired. There aren’t enough hours in the day as it is. -
@njr My mum used to say after she retired, she didn't know how she found time to work. And now she lives with me she's getting revenge for all my shi **y diapers 🤪

@njr Well according to the number at the top LH Side of the screen, I'm missing 8 replies, or 8 messages, that are unread. OR does that number 8 mean something completely different. Hmm definitely a case for lieutenant Columbo, my all time favourite TV detective️

When I first got on here I think the number said 9. When I clicked on it, I was shown all the threads where there were new posts. (at the top right of each thread there is a place you can click on Watching, so new posts notifications will be sent to you)
After I finish reading and/or posting in the first thread the number goes down by 1. Right now I think it says 3, so I have 3 more threads to look at. -

@njr I know Ladyleslie can't play the dvd, we have already solved that problem, she has a friend who can convert it for her, to Region 1. 🥳
I can play any dvd on my cheap DVD players. Regions don't matter. Or eevn on your computer...if you have a DVD drive, which I do.

OK well contact her to have the dvd, you should find it interesting. I charged her nothing for it AND I paid her postage too. It cost her nothing. So she might pay for your postage. I don't think that is a bad deal.

That is amazing! I have 3 blu-ray players, but they won’t play the other region DVDs I have from Australia (Region 4) I once bought a DVD that was advertised as Region 1 NTSC, but it turned out to be Region 2 and it wouldn’t play either, so they took it back and refunded me for cost of DVD plus shipping cost to return since it was false advertising.
I have a DVD drive on both my laptops - will see if it will play the Region 4 Hugh Jackman DVDs. -
@njr That's the problem...blue rays aren't cheap dvd players. Old generic players work. Mine aren't hooked up right now.

I have an old portable DVD player I’ll have to try it out.

@wandy I have solved this problem at last. On the Navigation screen, the screen that appears when you first open the app, there is a black and white pop out menu, on the left of screen. When this slides out, left to right, there is a whole rundown of stuff you can access in Maccaboard. As you scroll down, you eventually come to, "Log Out". BUT, I have discovered there is more beyond that point There are more "NOTIFICATIONS" And NEW notifications. I have never been beyond, "Log Out". But now I know about stuff being beyond "Log Out", I will go there again.

I would like to know who the fool was who created "regions" for DVDs. Why not make ALL DVD players world wide, one standard region for ALL DVDs.
