I would like to take this opportunity to talk about Pauls song "Freedom". I love that song, but I haven't met anybody else who does. Nobody. So how does this forum feel about "Freedom". Obviously it's perfectly fine for people not to like it, and if anybody doesn't like it, could you please explain why.

People seem to not like the song because it's simple and repetitive.
I think it is a good song, although I would not like listening to it over and over. -
@kㅤ Totally agree. It was written for 9/11 and definitely was a great contribution at that terrible time. It’s just not a song you want to pull out and listen to over & over.

It's not my favorite song Freedom. But it was nice to play it anyway. People were very surprised. In a good way.

I did not like Freedom when it was first released.... I found it underwhelming.... at a tough time, though, given everything that was happening at the time. A horrible time, it was... And I'll never forget that 9/11 moment... cos I was watching it unfold live from Australian TV. Late at night. Just after my favorite football show finished. Breaking News...
That second plane happened, watching live from my living room.... Shocking!!!!!... Devastating!!.... I still can't believe that it unfolded in front of my eyes.... live.... I'm still sickened by it.
Paul had the right intentions... in trying to help with a new song... but, I found the song very underwhelming. Ordinary.... and no new song from anyone was going to erase the memory of what had just unfolded... it was perhaps unnecessary.
But, listening to it again, nowadays, many years later... I don't mind it as much.... I kinda like it.... but not to any great degree. Just an average song. It's OK.

@wandy Too repetitive and simplistic. Paul did it quickly while his feelings were fresh about the atrocity, which was admirable, but it just wasn't a very good song IMO
