Melbourne, Australia - Sat 21 Oct 2023 CONFIRMED

@sanicholson I have and yes I entered yesterday. Oh I’m sorry you missed out to. Are you going to try again in the other presales?
-
@casp we were in within 5 mins.

Hi, just have a quick question - I know nothing about buying tickets to concerts. Never been to one.
In Melb, wanting to take kid/s to Marvel.
Have signed up for Frontier presale code, got it.
Signed up here for presale also.
Have looked around on ticketec website and see that there are different classes of tickets, seems most expensive are closest on floor to stage.
Honestly, we don't care where we are, just as long as we are there. (once in a lifetime opportunity- huge Paul fan) Looking for cheapest option, as we don't have much money and this will be my 50th birthday present to myself and kid/s.
Least expensive seems to be around 80 dollars each at back of floor plan seating, but not sure how 'general admission' works, is that cheaper and is that in the stands?
General admission goes on sale Friday, does that mean all the floor tickets are pre-sale?
Have degenerative arthritis and not keen on the idea of drama that could come from shuffling around and having to move seats or something.
Do we get on the computer early Wednesday morning for 4PM presale or wait until 4pm that day?
Really need advice on how to buy tickets.
Kids don't know either as they have never been to a concert also.(Have had wonderful dreams where I met Paul and hung out at a pub or something. Woke up beaming many times. He was always so nice in my dreams, but I will happily settle for some small binoculars (have cataract lenses) and somewhere to sit.)
Thanks for your help if you can offer advice.

Hi @musicdad
The sale on Friday is the "general public" onsale, which just means that you don't need a presale code to get in. The ticket categories and prices will be the same, but once they sell out in the general public onsale, there are no more left. Presales have "allocations" of tickets and don't usually sell all the tickets (e.g., Telstra would have been allocated certain seats/rows, and Frontier would have been allocated different ones; others might have been saved for the general public onsale). So, you might as well give the Frontier presale a go tomorrow.
Hope that helps!

@andrewhh
Thank you.
Will look here tomorrow before 4pm presale time and hopefully there will be some link or instructions on what to do. Cheers. -
No worries, @musicdad.
You can find information about the Frontier presale, including the link you need here (click the "Presale Soon" button to be redirected to the right page on the Ticketmaster site):
https://www.frontiertouring.com/current-tours/paulmccartney/melbourne
Frontier also has a Presale FAQ here that might help you:
https://www.frontiertouring.com/help/presaleinformation
If you don't already have a Ticketmaster account, I suggest setting one up now. I don't know if there's a way to set one up after you've already chosen tickets, and you will only be given a few minutes to complete the transaction. I suggest having a "trial run" with a different show that's already on sale so that you understand the process. You can cancel the purchase before you commit to buy.
Good luck!

@andrewhh
Thats brilliant. Much appreciated. See, I had no idea there was a time limit. Was thinking payment details would be done at the time of purchasing tickets. Will have to plan carefully, cross all the T's and dot the I's. Cheers Andrew. -
@musicdad
You're welcome!One other tip... Based on what I saw of the Telstra presales, I don't think there will be many seats available at the lowest price and they will go very quickly. So be prepared that you may end up having to go a bit higher to get the tickets. Better to decide in advance what you're willing to pay than to have to decide in the heat of the moment, which is stressful enough already.
All the best for the presale!
-
Hey Paul, You've left Cape Town, South Africa off your tour list. Please include us.
-
@andrewhh
Thanks mate - Will do best to get whatever we can within our budget. If we can get 3x $80 tickets (both sons and myself), then that would be really good. 3x $100 tickets would be really pushing it. -
Absolutely heartbroken.
Was sent the completely wrong country presale email by paulmccartney.com I can assure you, I'm not in Brazil, have no desire to visit Brazil, yet the presale link I got was for Brazil... I'm in Australia. Oz, Land Down Under, Great Southern Land.
Really wanted to see Paul McCartney with my boys.
Presale PM.com code cannot be used without PM.com link to presale.
Admin, surely there are 'we screwed up' tickets somewhere?
I need to buy 3 of them. the cheapest ones. -
@musicdad oh no! Can I send you my email? I got my tix using Frontier Touring so didn’t use my PM link.
-
Man that was stressful, but after 20 mins was able to secure hot sound tickets!!
We lost everything in a fire 2 weeks ago so this means I can replace some memorabilia. So excited!
-
@casp thanks for thought. The presale is over now.
-
@musicdad already! Oh no. Don’t forget there is the general sale as well.
-
@casp
I will try, but it would have been nice to get Oz presale email link instead of Brazil from the admins... General will be soldout in seconds. Not holding my breath.
Meanwhile the thousands of scalpers are already selling tickets online at 5-10x the price... -
@musicdad I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
-
@casp Thanks mate.
-
I'm really sorry to hear that! It might be worth trying again because sometimes more tickets get released. I'm still able to get back using this link and password...
