Paul McCartney and Wings Reissuing Band on the Run for 50th Anniversary

Yes, there is just the halfspeed single vinyl disc, and there is the the two disc half speed master with the under-dubbed mix, plus an additional poster and slip case for the set.
It looks like the double vinyl album is only available from a few sources. There is a portal on this official Macca site that gives a few links to pre-order, including from The Sound Of Vinyl .
For a few days the offical site and UDiscover Music were both sold-out of the double LP version, hence why I ordered it from The Sound Of Vinyl and with the discount to boot.
The Macca site is now offering it once again, plus a few others.

If you think about it, the double disc edition is a deal. As it's $15 more than just the single disc edition. You get an additional poster, a slip case and most importantly, unreleased mix/material on a second LP disc.

What you said in the last paragraph about this being a deal is so tru and is an excellent reason to buy. Plus it’s BOTR at 50!!!!

Paul McCartney’s ‘Band on the Run’ Turns 50
Though Danny and Henry in the image, were not involved in the recording sessions. They quit the band before the whole band flew to Lagos, Nigeria to record the album.

My 50th anniversary copy came late yesterday. The underdubbed disc is better than I thought it would be. On the cover, after the name of each song, it says”rough mix.” The album opens with BOTR but then sequencing departs from the released version with a very nice version of “Maumunia” coming next then “No Words.” It differs from the original in more ways than expected in that some of the vocals differ in how they are sung. I hear a gaffe on one with a word half-sung.
1985 is all instrumental, no vocals or orchestration. I miss the big ending with BOTR refrain fade out but it’s nice to hear the piano at work throughout.
Overall, I don’t regret getting this.

An addendum to the message above….after having this for a week,I think the underdubbed Jet is the most enjoyable tack. Minus the brass, you can hear Paul’s sharp drumming. The guitar is more decisive and audible, giving the track and much purer rock feel. Thinking back to the time when BOTR first came out, it was the heyday of bands like Chicago that featured heavy use of brass which I think in the case of Chicago was overdone and ruined some of their songs. I wonder if the is influenced some of the song arrangements on BOTR.
Lastly, the vocal track of Jet is definitely different, some words enunciated differently. He almost hums the ending.
