Where did it say this was broadcast on the 22nd? I missed that. Odd that later that day the story would never have made the air since all the stations had on was JFK assassination news.

Yes, exactly. CBS?s London bureau had prepared a five-minute story on the Beatles that was set to air that day on both the CBS Morning News with Mike Wallace and the prestigious CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite. ... The Beatles story was broadcast that morning, although no one remembers at what time it was featured..."

Yes!! That article was written by Bruce Spizer! Read the part where he talks about the JFK/Beatles connection (or lack thereof)

The old films of them on stage always cracks me up. Look how they tap their feet while playing, even John & George were doing it. I think it must have been an attempt to dance. However we did not dance like that at the time.

It wasn't an attempt to dance at all! Musicians playing guitars in bands always tapped their feet like that. Now George would do a little shuffle dance back & forth sometimes, and Paul would waltz with his Hofner while they did Baby's In Black, but that was the extent of the "dancing."

Tapping their feet to keep the beat since no one could hear anything with all the screaming!

Thanks for the link. What an interesting find. I like how CBS gave six minutes for the story, when nowadays, it would have been much less. Marshall My review of The Beatles BBC Recordings 1963 http//marshfish.hubpages.com/hub/Review-The-Beatles-Bootleg-Recordings-1963-iTunes-release
